Look at these gals! They braved the cold for a picture in the snow ❄️ Our phones are up and running until 5:30 and we are open for scheduled appointments! We hope everyone is enjoying the snow and staying safe and warm.

Tomorrow our clinics will be operating with limited staff! Some of our staff travel from out of town, and for their safety only local staff members will be on site! If you have an appointment scheduled, you will receive a phone call in the morning for confirmation or rescheduling. Please stay safe and warm. ❄️

We want to share an exciting announcement! Our Boss Lady, TeriJo Gonzales, is now credentialed as an LPC-Supervisor! Originally licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2012, TeriJo has been mentoring counselors and therapists for over a decade. The additional supervisor credential qualifies her as an expert in the field allowing her to supervise new LPC-Associates working on their hours toward licensure.

Those seeking licensure as LPCs must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, obtain a master’s degree in counseling, sit for and pass a licensing exam, then complete 3,000 hours of clinical work as an LPC-Associate under direct supervision of a licensed supervisor.

Licensed supervisors must have held their LPC license for 5 years and complete rigorous additional training courses approved by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council before applying for the supervisor license.

With the supervisor credential, TeriJo will be able to provide weekly supervision to LPC-Associates working on their licensing hours, which will inevitably help shape the future of our department. We are so proud of you, TeriJo!

Sharing this great information! When we work with children we often target the nervous system through play and parenting education. Behavior is communication - as parents or educators it’s important get curious about what the behaviors are trying to tell you. 💜

We are so excited to partner with local law enforcement agencies to bring a comprehensive approach to mental health related calls! This project has been a planted seed years in the making and we are thrilled to watch it grow and bloom. 💜

The City of Snyder Police Department and the Scurry County Sheriff's Office are partnering with Cogdell Memorial Hospital and Clinics Behavioral Health to better serve residents during mental health related calls. Licensed mental health professionals will ride alongside five dedicated mental health peace officers (Sgt. Salinas, Sgt. Key, Officer Listwan, Officer A. Silva, and Officer Beynon) to help prevent crisis escalation and connect individuals with appropriate care.

Police Chief Mike Counts shared that officers are looking forward to building trauma-informed connections within the community and improving outcomes related to mental health needs.

City Manager Eli Torres said the city is proud to support this collaborative, proactive approach, made possible through strong local partnerships like Cogdell Behavioral Health.

Together, we are showing up for our neighbors when it matters most.

As we wrap up our 4th year serving Scurry County and surrounding areas, we wanted to share our year in review! We are so extremely grateful to our clients, referral sources, collaborative agencies, and the community for trusting us with your mental health. We have so much in store for 2026 and cannot wait to see what the next year brings!
