We are shouting Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the backbones of our clinics!
🌺 Selene, our coordinator, keeps Cogdell Cares running smoothly with her professionalism and kindness. She always has a smile on her face and can find the answer to anything!
🌼 Leslie, our CNA, runs laps around insurance verifications and paperwork. Her sweet spirit brings joy to all of our Growing in Grace patients!
🌻Sherry, our RN, is a chart audit extraordinaire and keeps all of our documentation in line for both clinics. Our clinics would not be where they are without her brilliant brain!

Thank you, ladies and administrative professionals everywhere for all that you do!

featuring our walkway flowers. For the second spring in a row, we have potted some plants and flowers to welcome you to our Cogdell Cares clinic. Flowers remind us about gratitude, mindfulness, and grounding.

Flowers don’t complain about the rain or sun - they love both.
Flowers don’t rush - they grow at their own pace.

We hope you take time to literally “stop and smell the roses” and soak in the slow, beautiful moments of each day.

We asked our providers what book they’re currently reading or one they often recommend. This week we are highlighting our very own boss lady with her personal favorite “Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyer.

She says “this book is a good read not only personally, but professionally as a leader and a counselor.” The book discusses how when we manage our thoughts we strengthen our ability to lead effectively, regulate emotions, and create lasting, meaningful change.

Tell us: What is one way you regulate your emotions?

We were pleased to attend the High in Plain Sight presentation by Tall Cop Says Stop today. The information was eye opening and relevant to what communities are facing today. As mental health professionals, we are always striving to learn more about systemic issues in our community so we can enhance our competency and provide more comprehensive care.

Thank you to Cogdell Memorial Hospital and Clinics and Snyder Independent School District for hosting this informative presentation!

We asked our providers what book they are currently reading or one they often recommend. This week, we are highlighting Karla's personal favorite "The Gifts of Imperfection" by Brene Brown, PhD, LMSW.

The book brings forth the idea that we can move freely through life with our mess, heartbreak, grace, and joy. It is a book about embracing our imperfections and proceeding with authenticity.

Karla says, "It takes a lot of strength to be vulnerable and honest." This book embraces that vulnerability and honesty.

Think about how you can bring more of your own vulnerable authenticity to the forefront of your life as you move through the coming week.

Tell us! What are you currently reading?

Spring time is a fun and busy season for local students! From state tests to field trips and end-of-year activities, it’s easy for school obligations to take priority over scheduled appointments. We don’t want to miss you! Double check your appointment times to ensure they don’t conflict with school priorities and we can get you rescheduled as soon as possible! 😊

Today, I had the honor of observing two of our outstanding team members present at the South Plains College Law Enforcement Training Center on Mental Health in Law Enforcement.

Rachael Dupree-Beynon, LMFT, presented Calm in the Chaos: Interventions to Enhance Resilience and Response. Her training focused on connecting the body and mind through the fundamentals of polyvagal theory, highlighting how emotional regulation influences officer response and public interactions, as well as strategies for effective communication in mental health encounters.

Officer Kade Beynon MHPO SRO provided instruction on the foundations of Crisis Intervention Training, emphasizing practical approaches, communication techniques, recognizing signs of mental health concerns, and how to effectively connect individuals to appropriate care.

Both also shared information about our newest BRIDGE Team program—Building Relationships Intentionally with Dignity & Grounded Engagement.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the SPC Law Enforcement Academy and Kenny Burns, Dept. Chair & Professor of Law Enforcement, for the opportunity to speak with your cadets today!

It is truly an honor to have a front-row seat to watch dedicated professionals grow in their passion and commitment to serving others. 💜

We continue to GROW!

We believe in self-care so much that last year we developed a recharge station for hospital staff to use. With the help of generous donors, our recharge station features a massage chair, a comfortable couch, yoga mats, and calming sounds and colors. Hospital staff are welcome to use the room during their 15-minute breaks and is accessible 24/7.

We believe our healthcare professionals deserve a moment to fill their cup in order to pour into others.
