Optometric Technician Position

This is a position that involves direct patient care such as obtaining the comprehensive patient history, performing diagnostic imaging, as well as diagnostic testing. The position also involves office tasks, such as scheduling appointments, chart management, exam room environment control. This position requires multitasking, and a desire to be part of a cohesive team, no prior experience is required as we will teach and train needed skills and knowledge to allow you to be successful in this role.

We are looking for a motivated individual to work in our optical performing optical sales. Duties include frame styling patients and educating patients on lens products to complete their glasses orders. The job also requires good multi-tasking skills as you will be responsible for understanding and working in all of the various positions within our front office. A knowledge of how insurance works is ideal but is not required for the position as we will train you for the tasks that will need to be done. Please apply in person at our office.

We encourage everyone today to do what they can to help control the spread of COVID. Just use good common sense about being in large groups, good personal hygiene, and some social distancing, things that are absolutely proven to slow the spread of any communicable germs. There is a lot of disagreement about the effectiveness of wearing masks, but if you are among those willing to wear one, now's the time.

We may not be hearing it like we did a year ago, but all area hospitals are full. Their staff is overloaded. The ability to transfer critical patients to larger hospitals from Snyder is hit and miss, mostly miss. Even if you don't get COVID, other illnesses or injuries you might need medical attention for may become more severe as treatment by specialists may be delayed, compromised or unavailable, so we encourage people to be more careful to avoid accidents and other routine injuries.

If you don't believe in prayer, that's fine. For those who do, it's time to get busy. Our city, state and nation are once again under siege from this virus. Any and everything that we can do as individuals that will help this situation should be a top priority.

After a lot of trial and error, we have FINALLY come across an anti-fog for glasses that works while wearing a mask! One spray on the inside of your lenses lasts 24 hours. Everyone in the office that wears glasses agrees that this really works. Come by to grab your bottle for $10 before they are all gone. (A bottle should last you a month if used correctly).
