My husband and I got into breeding Chesapeakes just after we were married in March of 2013. We breed Okay! I have to be honest here, I never wanted a Chessie!

I know it's hard to believe, but I had heard enough RUMORS about them as well as personal experience to try and talk Nathan out of getting a Chessie! (For those of you who didn't know Max originally belonged to my brother in law Nathan.) I had my dad's experience with his Chessie lashing out at my pregnant mother, and a Chessie I had met at my work, who I was informed would often snap at his owner for seemingly no reason. And living with a dozen nieces and nephews I didn't see how a Chessie would fit into the family. Though I did stop persisting and actually found a breeder just to have a puppy around. BOY was I ever wrong! A Chesapeake raised with the right surroundings is an AMAZING family dog. Max really has a one of a kind attitude and Kyra does as well. But be aware these are NOT first time dog owner dogs! Nor are they a great dog to be left alone at a farm! THEY NEED TO BE SOCIALIZED!! I now have two Chessies! I love this breed and I want to share them with EVERYONE!! Look for our first litter in 2016! All of our dogs will be health tested.

Havoc Jax-Desert Oasis Causing Chaos
July 2017-Nov 2025

Never again will I choose such a name for a dog, but I will miss you every day. HE came to me when I needed him, and he left when he knew I was ready. He was with me through three pregnancies, and was Donny's honorary little brother.

My favorite memories of him were when they were little together. Havoc would steal Donny's blanket off the couch and haul it across the living room. Donny would get down and go get it. Havoc would race to the couch and steal his spot. 😆

He was more than a sire to me or the puppies he produced. He was a friend and a companion to lean on. He was the best chaos.

Goodbye my boy and welcome home at the same time.

Love how well the new setup acclimates the puppies to going potty outside. :) Bonus is they know how to use a doggy door.
They see and hear day to day and farm/living noises. The cats like to keep an eye on them and the kids love playing with them.

We have one girly still looking.
