Happy Mindful Monday, lovelies!
We are back again with a short yoga sequence that is excellent for neck and shoulder pain- clients who work desk jobs, and/or standing all day, im talking to you! This short sequence can be done in the mornings before work or night bedore bed. It's a wonderful way to wake up and get some movement in before your day, or wind down at the end of a long one. It helps with mobility and stretches out those tough muscles that tend to get so tense throughout a work day. Try this and see what you think! Today, I just wanted to take a second to show you the massage room and talk about the many benefits!
I have been a massage therapist for almost a decade now, and I am certified in Swedish, deep tissue, medical, pregnancy, reflexology, thai massage, and other modalities!
Aside from reducing stress and promoting relaxation, massage therapy also has many benefits for your actual health.
Some of these include:
*lowering blood pressure
*reduces chronic pain
*improves posture
*promotes quality of sleep
*increases range of motion
*reduces tension headaches

Happy Mindful Monday, Beauties!🩵🌊
Let's talk today about setting a calming routine before bed! It can be as simple as drinking a cup of tea with herbs meant for sleep and relaxation, such as lavender or chamomile, turning off TV and phones, and/or adding some easy yoga before bedtime. Gentle poses such as these help you release tension from the day and can get you in a state for deep, restful sleep. These poses, paired with deep breathing, can help tremendously. Try it and notice if you feel more relaxed and rested!

Today, let's talk about plants! 🪴 I know, I know, odd subject for a massage studio, right?
But listen, so many plants actually have tremendous health benefits and are good for your overall mental health. You'll find them in every corner of my massage studio! Haha Not only do they brighten up an area and bring life indoors, but they can actually purify your air! We are still in the gloomy season with darker days, and bringing in a house plant can brighten a room and give a sense of that warm, spring feeling☀️

Almost another full year in the books, and it seems to come quicker every time! This will be my last day in office, and everything work related will be answered after the new year! There will be some scheduling changes and price increases, which will also be reflected in the new year. I cannot thank all of you enough for the constant support of my small business. I would not be here without you guys, and I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. 🩵 I hope everyone reading this, past, present, and future clients have the most wonderful holidays, and that you take some down time for yourself and get to relax a bit. The holidays are almost HERE! I just wanted to pop in with a gentle reminder to take care of yourself during this busy season. Take care of yourself, physically AND mentally, however that looks for you! Set boundaries, dont overwork yourself, create your own traditions, and BREATHE. Just like nature, now is a time to slow down and recoupe from a busy year. Spend these cold evenings in with a cup of warm tea and a good book. 🩵❄️

Happy *LATE! Mindful Monday, guys!
The colder weather is upon us, and for many, that means achy joints and increased pains❄️
Do you know why our joints hurt more during the cold months?
Colder temperatures heighten pain sensitivity and slows blood circulation, which can cause muscle spasms. Colder temperatures can also lead to thickening synovial fluid, which lunricates the joints, leading to stiffness and pain.
Bones and connective tissue expand and contract in response to barameteic pressure changes, which affects the pressure placed on joints. No wonder we are more achy!
Here are some tips that can help manage that pain and stiffness. Stay warm, stay hydrated with water and hot herbal teas, and keep moving! ❄️🍵🌿

Happy Mindful Monday! And happy December! Can you guys believe we are at the end of another year?! ⛄️🎄
As we come upon the busiest season for some folks, let's talk about some neck and shoulder stretches we can do periodically through the day!
SO many of my clients come in with neck pain, trailing down into the shoulders and low back. If you work at a desk or do lots of looking down for your job, im sure you're familiar with these annoying aches and pains.
These simple stretches can be done throughout your work day, right at your desk, and they assist in keeping those problem muscles loose and mobile, and preventing them from locking up and becoming too tight and tense from staying in one rigid position.
Incorporate these into your day, along with good body mechanics, hydration, and DEEP BREATHING! Your body will thank you! 🌊🩵

Just wanted to pop in here for a gentle reminder today! 🩵🌊
As we get closer and closer to the holidays, dont forget to take care of yourself, both mentally and physically!
This time of year can be so taxing for us, whether it's getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, being overwhelmed from planning meals/family visits/trips, etc, or it can be just a generally sad time of year for some.
Don't forget to take time for yourself, and be patient and kind with yourself. Take those deep breaths and ground yourself whenever you can!
My massage table is always open to those who need to just take an hour for themselves💆‍♀️

Happy Mindful Monday, lovelies! Today, let's talk about breathing🫁🌬
So many of us, myself included, can get in the habbit of shallow breathing. This happens when we get stressed, anxious, etc. So why is shallow breathing bad? ⚠️
It can actually trigger the body's fight-or-flight response, releasing stress hormones and increasing your heart rate and blood pressure. Naturally, it also reduces oxygen intake, which means you're taking in less oxygen and this can impact your oxygen levels over time. Along with these things, shallow breathing can cause muscle tension, especially in your shoulders, neck, and chest.

Below, is a quick breathing technique you can follow along to. Doing this, even a few times a day, can help you get in the habit of breathing better, which impacts your overall health. 💚

Happy November, guys! 🍂🍁🧡
I can't believe we are so far into the year already and so close to the holidays! This is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year. It's so cozy and colorful! But I know it may not be EVERYONE'S favorite time of year. Longer, darker days are hard on alot of people and can lead to things like seasonal depression and just overall gloomy feelings.
As always, getting out in nature and grounding yourself is a great way to help combat those feelings. Journaling, cups of hot tea, extra sleep, and new hobbies are also great ways to help! Bundle up, (even though it's still almost in the 80s around here🤣😅) and get outside! Soak up all of the rays you can! ☀️⛰️🍂🧡
