We’re seeking volunteer couples for upcoming NARM demo sessions with Dr. Laurence Heller.

These live demonstration sessions offer a unique opportunity to experience how NARM works with couples in real time, as Dr. Heller supports you in exploring patterns of disconnection and reconnection within their relationship.

Please note: All volunteers who apply will be screened and selected based on fit for the teaching goals and scheduling needs. Selected couples will receive a free NARM session. Sessions will be recorded and used for professional training and teaching purposes.

The selected couple will participate in two to three demo sessions during a live advanced training taking place March 27–29, 2026.

If you’ve ever found yourself missing red flags—whether in relationships or at work—that doesn’t mean you’re naive, or that you’ve been ignoring your intuition.

More often, it’s because your nervous system is familiar with the dynamic you’re experiencing, even if it’s painful.

In NARM, we explore how early relational patterns shape what feels “normal” later in life. When chronic chaos, dismissal, or emotional unavailability were the norm in childhood, we may unconsciously be drawn to those same dynamics again.

This isn’t because we want to suffer, but because our system is wired to recreate what it already knows—and what it once had to rely on in order to survive.

Through curiosity, we begin to notice the red flags we once walked past, and open space for new choices.

Sometimes chaos can feel more comfortable than calm. Not because it’s what we want, but because it’s what we know.

If safety, connection, or attunement were chronically inconsistent growing up, your nervous system had to adapt in order to find a new homeostasis. Overwhelm, overthinking, and staying “on” may have become your new baseline. Regulation, by contrast, might feel boring, unfamiliar, or even unsettling.

This doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you got really good at surviving what was unpredictable.

With NARM, you can begin exploring how these survival patterns formed, how they worked to protect you, and how you can begin to build new capacities toward greater connection and calm.

You don’t have to stay in survival mode just because it’s familiar. You can begin creating a new sense of home within yourself.
