Jerred Volden has worked at Soldiers Grove Health Services for 11 years, starting as a cook, working his way up to Activities Director. He wanted to do something special to honor the memories of the residents who had been cared for while at the center.

After digging through records, obituaries, and photos, this memorial wall was the result. Residents and staff have enjoyed seeing their friends, loved ones, and former staff who take care of them on the memorial wall. Thank you Jerred for the work you did on this incredible and heartwarming project.

The center is planning an open house in January, so stay tuned for more details.

We are proud to be a donation drop off site for the 4th Annual Something for Seniors collection drive, hosted by United Country Real Estate. 🎅🏻

During this season of giving, help brighten the holidays for local seniors by donating new, unopened, unwrapped personal care items, hygiene essentials, and fun activity or entertainment items to be distributed as Christmas gifts. 🎁

Donations will go to Soldiers Grove Health Services residents and other senior living facilities in Crawford and Vernon counties. For more information, visit www.somethingforseniors.org.

Southwest Tech nursing students completed their clinicals at Soldiers Grove Health Services. With the help of our Activities Department, they hosted a carnival and the residents absolutely loved it! 🎪

We will miss students at the center and wish them luck on their future nursing endeavors! ♥

Check out the spooktacular time we had for Halloween! Our staff group costume was the Minions. Residents played a game where they tried to get plastic balls to stick on a pumpkin. Lots of laughs, smiles, and fun was had by all! 🎃👻

We loved seeing the different costumes for Halloween! Residents were also treated to witches brew and a dessert of dirt cups. Thank you to the trick-or-treaters for visiting. 👻🍬🎃
