I’ve seen many opinions on the safety of internal use of essential oils. I personally have the same response as Dr Johnson in regards to internally using EO. Dr Hill from DoTerra has taught us this also. However, I do caution people to use them in the way they are comfortable. I’ve added the script from Dr Johnson’s blog post below.

I’ve spent 12,000+ hours researching essential oils, hold a Doctorate in Naturopathy, and am a Certified Clinical Master Aromatherapist. My deep dive into essential oil chemistry has led me to weigh the benefits vs. risks carefully, which is why I confidently teach safe internal use when appropriate.

That said, if you’re not comfortable ingesting essential oils, I respect that—just as I ask others not to force their fears onto those who make informed choices. Let’s embrace knowledge, science, and personal choice in natural health.

Important Reminder: I keep getting Amazon ads showing DoTerra products at unbelievable prices. This scares me! Everyone trusts the DoTerra name! It represents quality, purity and integrity.

I do need to tell you that if your DoTerra products come from Amazon you can NOT be sure the item you are getting is truly as advertised, clean or pure! Sadly, in today’s world it’s super easy to adulterate any product! They don’t even have to disclose the ingredient/s they use to dilute products with. You have no idea what is really in these bottles.

No DoTerra Wellness Advocate would attempt to sell via Amazon! Too many times I’ve gotten messages from someone severely disappointed or upset about what they received when they ordered Doterra products via Amazon.

Messages I’ve received:

“This Frankincense smells like turpentine-I compared it to the one I ordered from Dt and I’m now afraid to use this one from Amazon! I just couldn’t resist the price!”

“I found DoTerra Lavender on Amazon for $10! I diffused it and within 10 minutes I was throwing up! Could it be this oil?”

“This is a pic of the rash I got from this Frankincense oil I ordered from Amazon. It smells a little off. What can I do?”

Here’s the kicker… Every Wellness Advocate in DoTerra pays the Wholesale price. We can actually charge what we want but usually we sell to Retail Customers the stated Retail Price. Why would someone sell at a huge discount or loss to themselves? The only way to be sure your product IS created and filled by DoTerra is to order thru them via your own account or your WA. Assume anything else-no matter how great the price-is adulterated or fake.

In this case you do get what you pay for!

A high quality product does take more money to acquire-grow/distill/test/bottle. Please don’t fall for these too good to be true sales!
