To Our LGBTQ+ Service Members: You Are Not Alone
If you're an active duty or Reserve member navigating gender dysphoria, recent policy updates from the Department of Defense may be raising questions, fears, and uncertainty.
Service members can now voluntarily disclose a diagnosis of gender dysphoria and separate by June 6 (active duty) or July 7 (Reserve)—potentially qualifying for enhanced separation benefits. However, the military is also actively screening for gender dysphoria during routine health assessments, and involuntary separation is possible for those identified without self-disclosure.
If you're facing this reality, you don’t have to go through it alone.
As an LGBTQ-affirming therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space for service members navigating these deeply personal and complex experiences. Whether you're considering voluntary separation, managing the stress of military life, or exploring your identity, therapy can help you find clarity and support through the process.
You deserve care, understanding, and respect.
