Breathing is something we do automatically, but the way we breathe can have a powerful impact on our nervous system and overall mental health. Focused, intentional breathing can help calm the body, reduce anxiety, and bring a sense of balance and clarity.
Try this simple exercise:
😌Sit or stand comfortably and close your eyes if you like
👃Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose for a count of four
💨 Hold the breath gently for a count of four
🌬️ Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six
🔁 Repeat this cycle a few times, noticing how your body begins to relax
Even a few minutes of mindful breathing can help reduce tension, refocus your mind, and create a sense of calm in the moment. Try adding it to your day whenever stress or anxiety starts to feel overwhelming.
