Matthew Michael Brodrick, 53, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Matthew was born on July 10, 1973, at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to Sherril Michael Brodrick and Louise Ann Jones Brodrick. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith, holding close the values that shaped his life and character.

For many years, Matthew faithfully worked in the Deli Department at Walmart, where he was known for his steady presence and kind spirit. Outside of work, he embraced life with creativity and enthusiasm. Music was one of his greatest passions, and he was an accomplished drummer who found joy and expression behind his drums. He also had a love for antiquing and rock hunting with his mother—simple moments that brought him great happiness and lasting memories.

Matthew had a deep affection for animals and a natural talent for working on cars. Artistic at heart, he enjoyed making jewelry and expressing himself through his creativity. Those who knew him will remember his gentle nature, his talents, and the love he shared with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Louise Brodrick of Somerset; his two daughters, Julia Lynn Siren of Niceville, Florida, and Lucien Indigo Myres of Somerset; his sister, Michelle Ann Patton of Freeport, Florida; and many extended family members and friends who mourn his passing and will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

It may bring comfort to know that through the compassionate work of Network of Hope, Matthew’s generosity will continue to touch many lives. Through his decision to give the gift of donation, he will be able to help multiple individuals and families. Even in loss, Matthew’s legacy will endure in the lives he has so selflessly helped.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Charles Robert “Bob” Stevens, age 88, of Marietta, GA (formerly Somerset, KY), passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Kennestone Regional Medical Center.

Bob was born on January 9, 1938, in Bandy, KY, to the late Elmer Stevens and Lyda Marcum Stevens. He worked as a Patient Aid for Oakwood for many years. Bob was a wonderful, loving husband, father, and grandfather, often called “pawpaw” in his grandchildren’s younger years.

To everyone who met Bob, he was a caregiver and peacemaker. His empathy, compassion, and selflessness were palpable in every conversation he kept and every moment he shared. Throughout his life, he was surrounded by people who loved him and who he loved. Bob always put his family first, especially before himself. He cared for and protected not only his family members—including his wife, Hazel, until the end of her life—but also people with whom he had no personal relationship. In his last professional role before retirement, he cared for people experiencing developmental disabilities and related conditions. For his patients and family members alike, he cared in a way that preserved the dignity, humanity, and memory of each person until they moved on from his care in one way or another. Bob will always be remembered as a selfless soul who dedicated his life to caring for others and supporting them in any way he could. Thank you, Bob, for teaching us to love through your life of humble service and love for all.

He is survived by one daughter, Vicki Holton of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Jenna Holton and Steven Kerpics; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members who are saddened by his passing.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Stevens, Carl Stevens, and Ray Stevens; and two sisters, Joyce Broyles and Kathleen Poynter.
