The staff of Comprehensive Orthopedic Physical Therapy is pleased to introduce you to our privately owned, outpatient physical therapy clinic. Our centrally-located neighborhood clinic is a state-of-the-art facility where comprehensive and high-quality physical therapy is delivered in a comfortable setting and personalized manner. Our goal is to give you the highest quality service from the minute you arrive at the door. Staying up-to-date with recent research and continuing education ensures that we are able to offer the most effective and progressive treatments for orthopedic conditions. By offering our patients a way to understand their condition and having them participate in their own rehabilitation process, they will enjoy the benefits of therapy long after discharge from our care. We believe in treating patients like family, giving the same consideration and competence that we would give our own loved ones. Our goal is to provide each patient with the personalized, one-on-one treatment they deserve as well as to give each patient the tools they need to prevent re-injury and return to their previous level of function. We feel that communication between the patient, the therapist, and the patient's doctor or other health provider is crucial to the success of the patient's treatment. We strive to create long-lasting, professional relationships with our patients that extend beyond their current recovery. Meet Our Acupuncturist — Avi Fine, L.Ac.

We’re excited to welcome Avi Fine, a licensed acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, to our Parsippany location.

Avi has been practicing since 2008, helping patients with pain, digestive concerns, stress, sleep issues, and overall wellness through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

He holds a BA from Rutgers College, completed his TCM training in British Columbia, and is NCCAOM certified. Avi has lived in North-East New Jersey most of his life and currently resides in West Caldwell.

We’re proud to expand our services and bring acupuncture to the Parsippany community.

Last weekend we went skiing as a family…
and something really stayed with me.

While sitting in the lodge, we watched multiple stretchers come down the mountain in just one afternoon. Most were kids.

As a physical therapist, I see these injuries every winter — knee tears, wrist fractures, shoulder injuries, and head trauma. And the hard truth is: many of them are preventable.

There’s no pre-workout that protects you on the slopes.
What actually does:
• warming up
• staying fueled + hydrated
• wearing helmets
• controlling speed
• knowing when fatigue sets in

Skiing is amazing — but preparation matters more than confidence.

✅ Pillow between knees (side sleepers)
✅ Hug a pillow (keeps shoulders stacked)
✅ Try not to twist at the waist
