🌿 What Your Urine Color Says About Your Health

Do you pay any attention to the color of your p*e?

Now don't get all twisted up!
This is important information.

Did you know your body gives you daily feedback on your hydration status?

One of the simplest ways to “check in” is by noticing the color of your urine.

It’s not something we often talk about—but it’s incredibly helpful.

💧 A Simple Guide to Urine Color & Hydration:

✔️ Clear
You may be very hydrated (possibly overhydrated).
👉 Ease back slightly and listen to your body.

✔️ Pale Yellow (Ideal)
This is where you want to be.
👉 Well-hydrated and balanced.

✔️ Light Yellow
Still in a healthy range.
👉 Keep doing what you’re doing.

⚠️ Yellow
Slight dehydration may be starting.
👉 Drink more water soon.

⚠️ Dark Yellow
Your body needs more fluids.
👉 Increase water intake.

🚨 Amber / Brown
Likely dehydrated—or could signal other concerns.
👉 Hydrate immediately and monitor closely.

🚨 Pink / Red
May indicate blood or other underlying issues.
👉 Seek medical attention.

🌿 Important to Remember:

Color can also be affected by:

• Foods (like beets or berries)
• Vitamins & supplements
• Medications

If something looks unusual and persists, don’t ignore it—get it checked.

💚 Simple Healing Tips for Hydration:

• Drink water throughout the day (not just when thirsty)
• Herbal teas (like peppermint or chamomile) can gently support hydration
• Eat water-rich foods (cucumbers, fruits, soups)
• Listen to your body—it speaks more than we realize

✨ A Gentle Reminder:

Caring for your body doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes healing begins with simply paying attention.
Hydrated body. Clear mind. Peaceful spirit.

🌼 Dandelion Spotlight – More Than Just a W**d 🌼

Right now, you’re probably seeing bright yellow dandelions popping up everywhere…
in yards, along roadsides, and in fields. Most people rush to get rid of them.

But what if I told you…this little “weed” is one of God’s most powerful healing gifts?

At Simple Healing: Spirit, Soul & Body, we love bringing attention back to what’s been overlooked—and dandelion is a perfect example.

🌿 Whole-Body Healing Benefits

Dandelion works gently yet powerfully across the body:

✨ Liver Support & Detoxification

Your liver is your body’s main detox organ. Dandelion helps stimulate bile flow, which supports digestion and helps your body process toxins more efficiently.

✨ Digestive Support

If you deal with bloating, sluggish digestion, or discomfort after eating, dandelion can help gently awaken your digestive system.

✨ Natural Diuretic (Without Depleting Potassium)

Unlike many diuretics, dandelion actually contains potassium, helping your body release excess fluid without draining essential minerals.

✨ Blood Sugar Support

Some studies suggest dandelion may help regulate blood sugar levels—making it supportive for overall metabolic health.

✨ Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Chronic inflammation is at the root of many issues. Dandelion contains compounds that help calm inflammation naturally.

✨ Skin Health

Because it supports detox pathways, many people notice improvements in skin clarity over time.

🌱 Holistic & Energetic Benefits

This is where it gets really beautiful…
Dandelion doesn’t just support the body—it aligns with healing on a deeper level.

💛 Emotional Release

The liver is often connected to stored anger, frustration, and unprocessed emotions. Supporting the liver can also support emotional release.

💛 Letting Go & Freedom

Think about the dandelion going to seed…
You blow on it and it releases.
There’s a message there:
It’s okay to let go of what no longer serves you.

💛 Resilience & Strength

Dandelions grow anywhere—through cracks, hard soil, neglected places.
Just like many of us…
They remind us that growth is still possible, even after hardship.

🌼 Ways to Use Dandelion (Beyond the Basics)

In addition to tea, tinctures, and fresh greens:

🌿 Dandelion Vinegar
Infuse flowers in apple cider vinegar for a mineral-rich tonic

🌿 Dandelion Salve or Oil
Use infused oil for skin support, sore muscles, or dryness

🌿 Flower Syrup or Jelly
A beautiful (and delicious) way to enjoy the benefits

🌿 Root Powder Capsules
For those who don’t enjoy the taste but still want the benefits

🌿 Spring Cleansing Ritual
Many herbalists use dandelion as part of a gentle seasonal reset to support the body after winter

⚠️ A Few Gentle Notes

Always harvest from clean, chemical-free areas.
Start slow if your body is sensitive.
If you have gallbladder issues or are on medications, check with a healthcare professional

🌿 A Simple Reflection

“Sometimes what we call a weed…is actually God’s provision for healing.”

What if the very thing we’ve been trying to remove…
is something we actually need?

💛 From Simple Healing: Spirit, Soul & Body

We believe healing doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s found in the simple things…growing right outside your door.

🌼 Herb Highlight:
Chamomile – God’s Gentle Gift of Calm 🌼

Have you ever felt your body craving rest… but your mind just won’t slow down?

One of our favorite herbs we use here at Simple Healing: Spirit, Soul & Body is Chamomile—a soft, delicate flower with powerful calming properties.

🌿 Why Chamomile?

Chamomile has been used for generations to gently support the body in finding peace and balance.

✨ Known benefits include:
• Promotes relaxation and calmness
• Supports better sleep
• Helps soothe anxious or overwhelmed feelings
• Gentle support for digestion (especially nervous stomach)
• May help ease tension in the body

This beautiful little flower works with your body—not against it—making it one of the safest and most loved herbs for all ages.

☕ How we use it:
We include Chamomile in our calming tea blends, created to help you slow down, breathe deep, and reset—spirit, soul, and body.

Whether it’s part of your evening routine or a midday moment of peace, Chamomile is like a warm, comforting hug in a cup.

💛 Simple Tip:
Try sipping a cup of chamomile tea in the evening with no distractions—just quiet. Let your body unwind and your heart rest.

🦋 Healing doesn’t always have to be loud or complicated…
Sometimes it begins with something as simple as a flower.

We have our unique tea blends with 16 servings plus our other products at Serendipity at the Orange Door, LLC .

We are also able to create speciality blended teas just for you.

How can we best help you?

Feel free to let us know.

Striving vs. Abiding: The Shift That Changes Everything

For most of my life, I didn’t realize I was striving.

I thought I was being strong.
I thought I was being responsible.
I thought I was doing what needed to be done to survive… and succeed.

But beneath all of that was a constant pressure:
Do more. Be more. Fix more. Prove more.

And if I’m honest… it was exhausting.

What Is Striving?

Striving is living from a place of pressure.

It sounds like:

“I have to make this work.”
“If I don’t do it, it won’t get done.”
“I can’t slow down.”

And yet Scripture gently reminds us:

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Bible (Psalm 46:10)

Striving keeps us in motion…
even when God is inviting us into stillness.

For many of us—especially those who have walked through trauma—
striving didn’t begin as a choice.

It began as survival.

What Is Abiding?

Abiding is different.

It’s not laziness.
It’s not giving up.
It’s not ignoring responsibility.

Abiding is staying connected.

Jesus said:

“Abide in Me, and I in you… As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself… neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
— Bible (John 15:4)

Abiding means we stop trying to force fruit through effort alone…
and instead remain connected to the Source of life.

It’s learning to live from relationship, not pressure.

The Hidden Cost of Striving

Living in constant striving can affect more than your thoughts.

It can impact:

Your body (fatigue, tension, burnout)
Your emotions (anxiety, overwhelm)
Your relationships (misunderstanding, defensiveness)

Scripture speaks to this burden:

“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
— Bible (Matthew 11:30)

If what we’re carrying feels crushing…
it may not be what we were meant to carry.

What the Shift Looks Like

Moving from striving to abiding is not instant.
It’s a daily surrender.

It may look like:

Pausing instead of pushing
Listening instead of forcing
Trusting instead of controlling

The Word reminds us:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Bible (Proverbs 3:5)

Abiding means we don’t have to figure everything out…
we simply stay connected and take the next step.

A New Way Forward

I’m learning something that is changing everything:

I don’t have to strive to have value.
I don’t have to prove my worth.
I don’t have to carry everything alone.

Because…

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”
— Bible (Isaiah 40:31)

There is another way.

A better way.

A way of peace…
of trust…
of steady, rooted growth.

A way of abiding.

If you’ve been living in striving mode for years, you’re not alone.

But you don’t have to stay there.

Healing often begins with a simple shift:
from pressure… to presence.

✨ From wounded to wholeness—one surrendered moment at a time.

Inner Child Healing With Jesus

There’s a part of healing no one really talks about.

It doesn’t happen in a counseling office. It doesn’t come from pushing harder or doing more.

It happens in quiet moments…when you finally feel safe enough to listen.

Recently, I’ve been taking time to sit still, often with worship music playing, and allowing myself to reflect on the different seasons of my life.

Not just remembering them…but actually meeting those versions of myself again.

The little girl. The teenager. The woman who walked through deep pain and survival.

And instead of pushing them away or trying to “move on”…I’ve been doing something different.

I’ve been speaking to them.

Thanking them for surviving. Letting them know they’re safe now. Giving them permission to rest.

And something unexpected happened.

The little girl inside me spoke back.

She didn’t ask for anything complicated.

She said: “I want to laugh.”
“I want to play.”
“I don’t want to be afraid anymore.”

That hit me deeply.

Because for so many of us, especially those who have walked through trauma, we learned to live on guard.
Always aware.
Always bracing.
Always prepared.

But healing… real healing…is learning that it’s safe to lay that down.

It’s learning that joy is not dangerous. That rest is not weakness. That laughter is not something to feel guilty for.

It’s realizing that the parts of us that carried so much for so longare simply waiting for permission to breathe.

Today, I want to gently ask you:

Is there a younger version of you that still needs to be seen?

What might she say if you gave her space to speak?

And could it be…that part of your healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but about going back and lovingly bringing yourself forward?

You are allowed to feel safe.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to laugh again.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
