The R.O.A.D To A Better Life Program was established to help individuals free themselves from their struggles with drug abuse, addiction and dependence. Commonly abused substances include he**in, ma*****na, opiates, benzodiazepines, alcohol, and countless others. Our goal is to help you reclaim yourself while assisting you in building a satisfying life that you can enjoy and thrive in. We promote an abstinence model, which means that our treatment goal is to help you stop using altogether. One of the hardest questions to answer is, “What are you willing to do to be clean?” If the answer is, “Whatever it takes,” you may be ready to initiate the changes that will help you successfully become and stay “clean.” If you come to our program with an open mind, and you are able to hear and implement some suggestions, you will have an excellent chance of succeeding. We will be respectful of you at all times. In fact, we will respect you enough to tell you what you need to hear, rather than just what you may want to hear. We look forward to working with you on your journey to recovery! We have locations in:
Somersworth, Littleton, Merrimack, Wolfeboro, Newington, Plymouth, Concord, North Conway and Lebanon

I’m a former nurse and recovering alcoholic and I write about alcohol and our health. My goal is to educate people about the health risks of alcohol use because most of us don’t fully understand the effect that alcohol has on our bodies. I recently got a question asking whether our bodies can re...

Please note, all of our locations remain open and committed to providing treatment and support to our patients and the community. We are restructuring some of our counseling services and will be supporting any patients affected by this transition. Patient care, support, and safety remain, as always, our top priorities.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We would like to reassure you that Road to a Better Life continues to remain open, with minimal interruptions regarding your care. Our main focus is to keep both you and our staff safe during this time. If you have a scheduled appointment and are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19, or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing community spread of COVID-19, please call your usual ROAD office prior to coming in so that we may triage appropriately through our pre-screen process.

To help minimize the spread, we are asking that our patients come to their appointments unaccompanied and that friends, family members, and drivers please wait outside or in their vehicles. Use social distancing while in the waiting room, keeping at least 3-6 feet between you and another person.

We continue to utilize all options available to help minimize any interruptions in your care and to ensure that your treatment needs are being met. Our offices have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing of exam rooms, waiting rooms, bathrooms and door handles/knobs.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get through this.
