You ever crack open two eggs and wonder why the yolks look totally different? One bright and golden, one soft and pale? It all comes down to the hen’s diet—what she’s nourished with shows up in the color of her yolk.

And honestly… it’s such a perfect reminder for pregnancy and postpartum.

Because just like those eggs, our bodies reflect how we’re being nourished. Not in a perfection-y way, but in a your body feels the difference way. When you’re adding color to your plate, getting in protein, hydrating, and giving yourself steady fuel, you don’t just “eat better”—you feel more stable, more energized, more supported from the inside out.

And on the days where your yolk feels a little lighter? That’s okay too. Nourishment isn’t all or nothing; it’s cumulative. It’s small, doable choices that stack up over time.

And don’t forget the basics that make a huge difference:
