It’s Fall Y’all! With Gourds Galore! If you have not noticed the beautiful Fall-Fest decorations downtown Main Street, as well as, the Sonora Chamber of Commerce, and The Super 8, please do! Let’s all join in the Fall-Fest spirit and place your Fall decorations outside your businesses and homes, if you haven’t already!

Hey there good citizens of Sonora and all you wonderful folks that visit our amazing community. If you are looking for a quiet and tranquil place to relax, meditate, catch up on some book reading, then Sonora’s Pocket Park is the place for you. Located on Main Street (Historic Downtown) between The Parlor and The Devil’s River Newspaper is where you will find this small yet unique resting area. Here you can enjoy a peaceful setting while enjoying a refreshing drink or coffee from Powerhouse Nutrition or the Honeybee Cafe, including Honeybee Cafe’s delicious bistro type meals, both locations within walking distance you will find our stunning historic Sutton County Courthouse and the Old Ice House Ranch Museum. We are excited to share a small part of Sonora with you!

Special thanks to Angie, Travis, Kendra and Jay for bringing this part of historic downtown back to life. Keep Sonora Beautiful is working hard on beautifying the City of Sonora downtown district. The Pocket Park is located between The Parlor Salon and The Devil's River News....

The triangle project is complete . Be sure and go by and check it out. Thank you so much to the Sonora Economic Development, the City of Sonora , Sutton County, Carl J Cahill Construction , TXDOT, Keep Sonora Beautiful and a special thanks to Mayor Juanita Gomez . This project was paid for by a special grant of 4b sales tax to help beautify our city .

Sonora ISD students in Ms. Letty Garcia’s Spanish 3 Class were at Liberty Park (La Placita) cleaning up this park as part of their community service project. Ms. Garcia stated that they are currently learning about community service and recycling in their Spanish class. City of Sonora is so grateful for our wonderful youth doing their part to Keeping Sonora Beautiful.
