We’re proud to highlight the amazing outreach work happening in our community!

Our Nurse Practitioner Beckie Simmons-Rios recently visited Sonora ISD primary school to lead an engaging session titled “Eating Right in the Real World.” The talk focused on helping students understand practical, everyday nutrition—making healthy choices, reading food labels, and building balanced meals in a way that actually fits real life.

The students were enthusiastic, asked great questions, and walked away with tools they can start using right away. Moments like these remind us how important early education is in shaping lifelong healthy habits.

A big thank you to our school partners for welcoming us—we look forward to continuing to support the health and wellbeing of our community!

Sutton County Hospital District
We want to alert our patients and community members about a Medicre fraud scheme that has been brought to our attention. Several people have looked at their Medicare Explanation of benefits (EOB) falsely showing that your medical provider or a provider has ordered thousands of dollars of DME- durable medical equipment. What we have seen so far is for urinary catheters. This is fraudulant. Your provider did not order this equipment. If you have received something like this and believe it is fraud, please call Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). The people that have reported this activity, do not use or need any of this equipment. Once again, please be on the look out for fraudulant charges to your Medicare cards, and in some instances, they are issuing patients new Medicare cards.

Please call us here at 325-387-2521 if you have any questions!
