On Monday, January 12, 2026, our team officially began hands-on work on the Tamara Polley Mural Project with a full day of preparation and teamwork.

From left to right in the photo are artists: Evan, Jenna, Eric, and Morgan prepping the mural panel by washing, sanding, and applying primer — a crucial foundation step to ensure the artwork’s longevity and quality.

Now that the panel has dried, the next phase begins: sketching the design and bringing the mural to life. We’re excited to share each step of this creative journey and celebrate the collaboration, skill, and dedication behind the work.

🎨 Community, Creativity & Opportunity — What’s Coming Next 🎨

We’re excited to share that WATCH Resources is preparing to begin the next phase of a new community mural project—one that creates meaningful, paid opportunities for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Created at WATCH and to be installed at the Law Office of Tamara Polley, this project highlights WATCH’s growing role in commissioned community art. Through murals, mosaics, and other public art installations, WATCH partners with businesses, organizations, and community members to create custom artwork while supporting paid employment, skill-building, and leadership opportunities for our artists.

With permit approved and planning underway, our artists are getting ready to begin the creative process—starting with sketches and design development—before moving into painting and installation.

Projects like this provide our artists with:
✨ Paid employment for their creative work
✨ Hands-on, real-world artistic experience
✨ Increased confidence and independence
✨ The opportunity to leave a lasting, visible mark on our community
