I invite you to spend 50 minutes in my quiet and peaceful hilltop office overlooking the ocean in Soquel. We will work intensively (at least two hours a week) for short, contracted periods of time such as 2 or 3 months. During that period of meeting a minimum of two days a week, the therapy has the opportunity to build in intensity and increase its effectiveness. After that much intense, introspective work, we take a break for integration of the work on your own. First we negotiate the time period of the break, and if needed, a re-starting time. This empowering time period gives my clients a personal space to assimilate the work and let any positive changes be felt and integrated. I find that for many people this is the fastest way through change and/or crisis. If needed, I am always available by phone or email during the hiatus in therapy. I use a variety of techniques when appropriate, including EMDR, shamanic journey, hypnosis and imagery, talk, homework --whatever works at the time. Many of these techniques, useful life tools, can be incorporated by my clients into their everyday lives. I invite you to consider this form of intensive, condensed therapy as a useful way of dealing with our present life stresses and crises. Separate exit for maximum privacy. 8 minutes from the freeway. It is time to give to yourself.
