The City of South Bend will host 2 free community meal pick-up events in December to assist and support residents in need of a hot, nutritional meal.
On Wednesday, December 17, approximately 200 turkey-to-go meals will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Center, located at 1522 Linden Avenue, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. while meals are still available. Green beans, mashed potatoes, dessert, and bottled water are also included with the to-go meal.
On Thursday, December 18, approximately 200 turkey to-go-meals will also be served on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Charles Black Community Center, located at 3419 W Washington St. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. while meals are still available. Mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, dessert, and bottled water are also included with the to-go-meal.
