AstroClub meets at 3pm today! We have LOTS to talk about!

The 2nd Full Moon in Capricorn hits on Sunday morning, but the culmination is palpable. Many things are coming to pass, change is inevitable as the Moon reaches the last degree of Capricorn, the Anaretic Degree, the Critical Degree... only to conjunct Pluto immediately afterward.

The Moon is ruled by Saturn, reminding us of the mortality of life, where our determination lies, the limits we impose upon ourselves, and our authority in our personal lives.

The season of the Bull. Know the difference between fertilizer vs feed.

We have an opportunity to find ease after a heavy and intense eclipse season. We will feel the initial effects of the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction through the first week of July. This is a time of growing awareness and planting seeds for the future. Creative projects, innovation and invention are on fertile ground.

The planets are zooming, everything is direct (Pluto is stationing to go Rx on May2nd). Venus comes into her Temple of the Goddess on 4-29, and Mars comes into his power sign of Aries 5-1. It's an easier time to process all the change that eclipse season laid at our feet.

The next major shift is Jupiter ingressing the sign of Gemini on May 25th - Jupiter will expand the Gemini area of our chart. You can expect an increase in communication, commerce, and idea sharing.

The Astrology of Love & Attraction

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Looking at our birth charts, and the charts of our mates, can tell us many things about the type of partners we seek, the way we find them, our capacity for intimacy with them, and a certain measure of commitment within the relationship.

Nothing is written in stone, for the flow of time can change the rocks with a drip of water… and so our love can change, strengthen, and grow; or it can ebb, weaken and diminish. Every journey of love is individually based within our heart’s desire and capacity to love.
It is known that Venus is the general indicator of love and partnerships. We can see the theme, quality and character of our desire by rulership, condition and aspect of Venus within the birth chart.

Along with Venus, we should concentrate on the 7th house: the house of partnership and marriage. The house of “Other”. This is the place we find our chosen people, our best friends, our spouses. The sign on the DC, and its ruler, can help us understand the energy working in this area of life for us.

• Venus/Saturn: Embodiment= committed and able to work hard for love; Venus is benefic/positive and Saturn is malefic/negative, as Saturn is austere and can deny our desires (for a time) thus a delay or late start in love is possible. Also, Venus opposite Saturn can denote an age disparity with your spouse (much older vs much younger).

Happy Lunar New Year!
2024 is the Year of the Wood Dragon!

The Wood Dragon is driven, principled and ambitious, yet kind, generous and diplomatic. The Wood Dragon is the gentlest of Dragon-types. Dragons exude personal magnetism, with subtle attraction. Dragons are remarkably discerning - which we will need this year of false images, AI, and manipulative media (election year propaganda).

Skepticism is necessary this year, do not believe everything you hear/see, boundaries are elusive with Saturn transiting Pisces co-present with Neptune. Neptune is reaching the end degrees of Pisces, and 2024 will be the last full Pisces Neptune year. A great time to dive into imagination and creative dreams... a time of possibility not certainty.

The Secret power of the year is flexibility. Think of the element of Wood: wood moves, it breathes, it sways yet it is rooted in the earth. It is as life whips us to and fro, we must bend and move with the weather, but stay firm in our foundations, our principles and our families.

Wood sustains life, keeps us both cool and warm. I love my tree grove, mostly maple but more than a few mulberry trees. I always have birds and animals in my yard and trees. It's lovely. Wood protects, sustains and builds a good life.
