Since 1947, we’ve been caring for the community around us—and that goes beyond comprehensive orthopedic services. 🏥 This season, we’d like to share some of the local organizations and initiatives that we help to support year-round, as they make Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan a kinder, better place to live. 👏👏 👏

One of Indiana’s oldest zoological parks, the 23-acre Potawatomi Zoo welcomes more than 300,000 visitors each year. South Bend Orthopaedics is proud to sponsor a feeding station for the zoo’s giraffes: Seymour, Maximus, Wyatt, Kellan, Zindzhi and Hadassah (a calf born in October 2024).

National Night Out is observed each year on the first Tuesday in August. A national community-building campaign, this evening helps to strengthen police-community partnerships, raising crime and drug prevention awareness while building a stronger neighborhood spirit.
