Welcome to all of the professional stargazers to the Fall 2025 Staunton River State Park Star Party!

Starting tomorrow at noon, this celebration of the stars brings in astronomers from far and wide to gaze upon the night sky in Halifax County's certified International Dark Sky Park. Which means that the conditions within the park have so little light pollution that the stars can be seen at their brightest.

The party runs all week until Sunday the 26th at noon, BUT luckily for all of you amateur astronomers on Friday the 24th from 8pm-10pm you can join in on the party and view the stars along side the professionals.

Wednesday, October 29th - roll out your mat with yoga instructor Kassie Myers.

Last week we had to opportunity of a lifetime showcasing our products at ✨🌟✨

Just a couple weeks ago, we got a call offering us the opportunity to vend at an EDM Fest. This was the biggest event we’ve ever been asked to participate in, with over 20,000 attendees! 😳 and honestly, starting our week was overwhelming. As such a small team with minimal experience vending - and none on such a large scale - we felt in over our heads. We hadn’t realized our days would be 18+ hours long, or that we would have a 2mile walk just to open the booth 🤦🏻‍♀️ We were among the few who had never attended a festival as patrons, and we were the only inexperienced vendors. Yet, suddenly, we found ourselves surrounded by a vibrant community and seasoned teams of workers. We were just three, overwhelmed, small business owners with a love of rocks….unsure if anyone would share our enthusiasm.

As the week grew on, we were met with excitement by everyone we spoke to. We genuinely have never been around a more supportive, kind, and caring community as what we experienced at Seven Stars. Our enthusiasm was met and multiplied by every tribe. Our worries quickly melted with every conversation and we learned what may be the most important lesson of all: we belong.

If you’re readings this as a new friend/follower: thank you for your support and kindness 🫶🏻 Let this serve as your reminder: if you’ve ever thought your business was too small, your dreams were too big, that your opportunities are limited, or that it just doesn’t seem possible: the stars are aligning for you, too. ✨🌟✨
