VABVI Presents: The Pros and Cons of Optical vs. Video Magnification

Come join VABVI as we welcome Bibta Pradhan, a UMass Boston Vision Studies Graduate Intern, who will return to share insights about the process of choosing the best kind of magnification for your specific visual impairment. How does your form of vision loss play into the kind of magnification solution? What are the pros and cons of different forms of magnification devices? When would an optical pocket, hand or stand magnifier help you the most? When would a portable or desktop electronic video magnifier make the best solution? Bibta will address these topics and answer questions you and other attendees may have.

When: Friday April 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM Eastern

Hello!

We are working on a VABVI 100th anniversary video that will include various Vermont scenes. This weekend is Maple Open House weekend and I am going out in search of a sugar house with boiler operating where I can do a quick video (quick being 5-10 seconds).
Is there anyone in the VABVI community reading this who can suggest a sugar house that might love to be in the VABVI video?

Thank you for your help!
