It’s Not Your Age. It’s How You’re Holding Yourself.

If you feel tired before the day is even halfway over, it might not be your age.
It might be your posture.
Fifteen focused minutes. That’s it. If you want more energy, you have to make space for it.
Most people blame low energy on sleep, stress, or hormones. And while those matter, there’s something else quietly draining you all day long, the way you’re holding your body.

When you slump forward, your chest collapses and your breathing becomes shallow. Your core switches off. Your muscles work harder than they need to just to keep you upright.

That constant strain adds up.
Poor posture forces your body to fight gravity for hours. And that fight is exhausting.

The good news? When you improve your posture, your energy improves too.
Stand taller and your lungs expand more fully. Engage your posture muscles and movement feels lighter. Support your spine properly and your body works more efficiently. Energy doesn’t have to be forced, it can be restored.

Have you noticed a correlation between your poor posture and increased neck and back pain?

Remember, poor posture overloads the wrong muscles and nerves. When we slouch, our head moves forward, our torso becomes compressed, and we lean into a hunched position. As a result, our muscles become overworked even while simply sitting or standing, which ultimately leads to pain.

For every inch your head moves forward past your shoulders, it creates an additional 10 pounds of pressure on the joints in your neck. This not only causes pain, but also leads to unnecessary wear and tear that further contributes to discomfort.

As a chiropractor, I’ve always explained to my patients the importance of maintaining upright posture and a healthy neck curve. A healthy neck curve is essential because the spinal nerves that exit the spinal canal can become compressed or irritated when that curve is lost.

This is where the common phrase “pinched nerve” comes from. A pinched nerve refers to pressure on a nerve that causes symptoms or a reduced state of health. With today’s technology being such a major part of most people’s lives, more individuals are developing a habit of hunching forward, jutting their neck and head out, and creating muscle memory for slouched, unhealthy, aging posture.

Pinched nerves caused by slouching don’t stop at the neck. They can extend into the mid and lower back and may even cause your breathing to become shallow.

The good news is that posture-related pain is absolutely trainable and, in many cases, reversible. When your spinal nerves sense a decrease in pressure on your neck and spine, your pain will begin to decrease as well.

So what is the best way to train your posture to be upright and strong?

The answer is the PostureFit system. The beauty of the PostureFit system is that it actively trains your posture. It naturally helps you sit and stand tall and upright, allowing your body to relearn where it should be.

1. PostureFit Chin tucks
An amazing way to reduce forward head position. Doing 2 sets of chin tucks 2x/day will help strengthen the deep neck flexor muscles that get strained through the day with our devices. Using PostureFit Bar to activate your core when doing the chin tucks is an absolute game changer. It will help improve your alignment and reduce neck and upper back pain, as well as increase mobility.

2. Deadlift row to upright row
Love this move! Strengthens glutes while addressing shoulders and arms. Dr Liz is using the 15 lb bar here.
Sometimes I just need to go heavier bcause it feels good and challenges my strength. Also, this move is using our butt which is a very strong muscle

3. Triceps sword pulls
A great arm move that also welcomes the heavier PostureFit bar

4. Power posture oblique
A great move to address oblique core muscles and to strengthen our balance. Be sure to keep head pushed into cushion for maximum core activation.

5. Power posture Sumo squats
Love this move for low body strength

Chiropractor Designed and Approved

Created by Dr. Liz Welch, DC, PostureFit is the result of wanting to empower her patients to take back their health by strengthening their core, improving their posture, and creating a ripple-effect throughout their health and well-being. She says, "In over 25 years as a chiropractor, I have witnessed a disturbing trend of increasingly poor posture in my patients leading to a series of detrimental health conditions such as persistent back and neck pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, and generalized weakness and fatigue. The key to good health is strong posture and the key to strong posture is a strong core!”

We all have Forward Head Posture

It’s just a matter of degree.Back pain, neck pain, joint pain, jaw pain, knee/hip/foot pain, limited range of motion, all stem from poor posture as a result of forward head posture and a weak core. “Tech neck”, “iHunch”, “iNeck” all refer to the forward slant of the head and neck, also known as Forward Head Posture. Many products exist that simply remind you to stand up straight, but they don’t help you combat FHP and build a strong core.

The PostureFit Bar’s unique neck cushion supports your neck at an optimal 42-degree arc during your workout, which results in pulling your stomach muscles in tight, your shoulders back, opening up your rib cage for better breathing, and placing you in your Power Posture. The neck cushion surrounds a weighted bar, which creates the tension needed to make the PostureFit method an effective and easy strength-training and cardiovascular workout, improving your posture, flexibility, cardio endurance, and bone density. It maximizes your workouts, helps you maintain good form while exercising, and engages your core for every move. You will retrain your body and create new muscle memory to support your new, strong posture--naturally--from the inside out.
