🏌️‍♂️ Tech Neck Is Quietly Killing Your Rotation

Quick question…

How many hours a day are you looking down at your phone?
Texting. Emails. Social media. News. YouTube.

Now add computer time.

That forward head position might not seem like a big deal… but it changes your posture in a big way.

When your head drifts forward:
• Your upper back rounds
• Your shoulders roll inward
• Your neck tightens
• Your core disengages

Now take that posture to the golf course.

Limited shoulder turn.
Restricted rotation.
Loss of posture through impact.
Inconsistent contact.

Most golfers blame their swing mechanics.
Very few look at what their daily posture is doing to their body.

Your body swings the way it lives.

If you spend hours in a forward head position, your body will rotate from that same rounded position.

Here’s a simple reset you can do today:

Stand tall.
Stack your ribs over your hips.
Gently pull your chin straight back, not down.
Hold for 60 seconds while breathing deep into your ribs.

Do that 3 times today.

Small daily corrections create long-term change.

If you golf and spend hours on screens, this is something you cannot ignore.

Comment “RESET” if you want a few more simple drills to undo tech neck before your next round.

The 2-Week Posture Reset for Golfers

Most golfers think they need a swing rebuild.

In reality, many just need a posture reset.

If you trained your posture three to five times per week for the next two weeks, here is what you would likely notice:

• Improved rotation
• More stable balance
• Less fatigue late in the round
• More confidence at address

Posture is not cosmetic. It is performance.

When you stand taller and stronger, your body can rotate more efficiently. Your core stabilizes your spine. Your shoulders move more freely. And your swing starts to feel more repeatable.

Here is the challenge:

For the next 14 days, spend just 7 minutes per day strengthening in upright alignment.

No random exercises.
No endless stretching.
Just intentional posture strength work.

Two weeks of consistency can change how you stand over the ball. And that can change how you strike it.

If you are in for the 2-week reset, comment “I’M IN.”

10 Minutes to Better Balance and Swing Control

If your swing feels inconsistent, the problem might not be your mechanics.

It might be your posture stability.

Most golfers try to fix swing path, tempo, or grip. But very few train the one thing that supports all of it: staying strong and upright through movement.

When posture weakens, balance shifts. When balance shifts, control disappears. That is when shots start spraying.

Try this 10-minute posture reset before your next round:

Stand against a wall with heels, hips, and upper back touching. Gently tuck your chin and hold for 2 minutes while breathing slow and deep.

Do a standing anti-rotation hold. Hands together in front of chest, resist turning. 2 minutes each side.

Slow shoulder blade squeezes. Focus on control, not speed. 2 minutes.

Stand on one leg while staying tall and stacked. 2 minutes total.

Focus on being tall, not stiff.

Better posture leads to better balance. Better balance leads to better swing control.

Consistency is built off stability.

Comment “10 MINUTES” if you are going to try this before your next round.

Build the Posture Strength & Confidence Every Golfer Needs

Ever notice how confident golfers look before they even take the club back?

They’re not rushed.
They’re not slouched.
They’re tall, stacked, and stable.

That posture is not just for appearance. It directly affects how well you rotate, how cleanly you strike the ball, and how consistent your swing feels.

When your shoulders round and your head drifts forward, a few things happen:
• Your rotation gets limited
• Your balance becomes unstable
• Your core disengages
• Your body starts compensating

That is when you see early extension, loss of power, and inconsistent contact.

But when you train your body to stay upright and strong, everything changes. Your core turns on naturally. Your shoulders sit in a better position. Your breathing improves. And you feel more confident standing over the ball.

Golf performance is rotational power plus controlled stability.

If posture collapses, power leaks.

Build the posture first. The better game follows.

If this makes sense to you, comment “POSTURE” and I’ll share a simple drill you can start this week.

Chiropractor Designed and Approved

Created by Dr. Liz Welch, DC, PostureFit is the result of wanting to empower her patients to take back their health by strengthening their core, improving their posture, and creating a ripple-effect throughout their health and well-being. She says, "In over 25 years as a chiropractor, I have witnessed a disturbing trend of increasingly poor posture in my patients leading to a series of detrimental health conditions such as persistent back and neck pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, and generalized weakness and fatigue. The key to good health is strong posture and the key to strong posture is a strong core!”

We all have Forward Head Posture

It’s just a matter of degree.Back pain, neck pain, joint pain, jaw pain, knee/hip/foot pain, limited range of motion, all stem from poor posture as a result of forward head posture and a weak core. “Tech neck”, “iHunch”, “iNeck” all refer to the forward slant of the head and neck, also known as Forward Head Posture. Many products exist that simply remind you to stand up straight, but they don’t help you combat FHP and build a strong core.

The PostureFit Bar’s unique neck cushion supports your neck at an optimal 42-degree arc during your workout, which results in pulling your stomach muscles in tight, your shoulders back, opening up your rib cage for better breathing, and placing you in your Power Posture. The neck cushion surrounds a weighted bar, which creates the tension needed to make the PostureFit method an effective and easy strength-training and cardiovascular workout, improving your posture, flexibility, cardio endurance, and bone density. It maximizes your workouts, helps you maintain good form while exercising, and engages your core for every move. You will retrain your body and create new muscle memory to support your new, strong posture--naturally--from the inside out.
