✨ Lunar New Year ✨
The Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the new year based on the lunar calendar and is celebrated across many cultures, including Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Tibetan traditions. Rather than a single day, festivities traditionally last 15 days, beginning with the new moon and ending with the Lantern Festival.
Common traditions include cleansing the home to release old energy, gathering with loved ones, sharing symbolic foods for luck and prosperity, and honoring ancestors. Red decorations are often used to represent good fortune, protection, and vitality.
This Lunar New Year welcomes the Year of the Horse, an energy associated with movement, momentum, independence, and vitality. The Horse symbolizes action and forward motion, often bringing a faster pace, heightened motivation, and a strong pull toward personal freedom and truth. It’s considered a powerful year for change, courage, and aligning your energy with what truly matters.
At its heart, the Lunar New Year is a time of renewal, intention, and fresh beginnings — a reminder that when we clear space and ground ourselves, we can move forward with greater balance, strength, and well-being. 🌙✨ - Spirit Tree Wellness
