Did you know more than 1.6 million Americans are living with or in remission from a blood cancer? Blood cancers — including leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma — begin in the bone marrow or lymphatic system and affect how the body makes and uses blood cells. They can make it harder to fight infection, carry oxygen or stay healthy.

Check out this article from medical oncologist, Dr. Calvin Abro, where he explains the different types of blood cancers, common symptoms, risk factors and treatment options available: https://bronsonhealth.us/blood-cancer-article

According to The American Academy of Pediatrics, breastfeeding reduces the risk of sleep-related infant death. If you bring your baby into bed to feed or comfort them, be sure to follow safe sleep practices every time. When feeding is done, place your baby back in their own safe sleep space — on their back, in a crib or bassinet, with no loose bedding or soft objects.

Image shows a baby sleeping on their back with arms raised above their head, wearing a white shirt.
