Ever wonder how much water your pet should be drinking each day?

🐶 Dogs: About 1 ounce of water per pound of body weight per day

🐱 Cats: About 3.5–4.5 ounces per 5 pounds of body weight per day

Keep in mind this includes water from food, especially for pets eating wet diets. If you notice sudden changes in drinking habits, increased thirst, or very little water intake, it may be time to give us a call. Staying hydrated helps support healthy kidneys, digestion, and overall wellness!

Use Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Month to refresh your knowledge on these essential tips! 🐾

Store all chemicals safely out of reach – Keep cleaning products, antifreeze, medications, and pesticides in cabinets or on high shelves.

Monitor what foods they have access to – Many human foods are toxic to pets, including chocolate, grapes, onions, garlic, and xylitol (found in sugar-free gum).

Learn which plants pose dangers – Common toxic plants include lilies, sago palms, tulips, azaleas, and oleander.

Making these practices part of your everyday routine keeps your pets safe year-round. 💚

Household cleaners can be deadly to curious pets! 🧼⚠️

Always store cleaning products, detergents, disinfectants, and chemicals in secure cabinets out of paw's reach. Even "natural" or "green" cleaners can be harmful if ingested.

Use Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Month as a reminder to check your storage and ensure all cleaning supplies are safely locked away. 🏠🐾
