🎄 What’s Happening This Week at The Bailey Center! 🎄

✨ Thursday, December 11 — Play Patch (10AM–11AM)
Our Pre-K friends and their caregivers are kicking off the morning with Play Patch! Come enjoy a cozy hour of play, connection, and sensory-friendly fun.

✨ Thursday, December 11 — LEGO Night: Tower of Gratitude (5:30PM)
Bring those creative minds back in the evening as we come together to build a Tower of Gratitude. It’s amazing what happens when little hands (and big hearts) work together.

🌲 Saturday, December 13 — Evergreens for Winter (10AM–11AM)
Miss Alicia and Ranger Emily are teaming up to teach us all about evergreens and how they thrive through winter. Nature + learning + these two? Pure magic.

🎄✨ Swing by The Bailey Center today between 10 AM and 2 PM and jump right into the holiday cheer! We’ve got yummy snacks, festive fun, and—because Christmas magic is real—a very special visitor ready for photos and big smiles. 😉

Our little elves Faith and Buddy have been working overtime getting the Center Christmas-ready, and they cannot wait for you to see it! 🎅🧝‍♀️🧝‍♂️ even though they decided to take a break and have a little snowball fight and make a mess!!

What a gift it was to be part of the Annual Lighting of this year’s Christmas tree to kick off Hometown Christmas. Our Bailey Center families felt truly honored to share in such a special moment.

We couldn’t be more blessed with a community — and leadership — that goes the extra mile to make sure our families and participants are not only included, but genuinely supported. That kind of heart is what makes South Hill shine brighter than any tree. 💛🎄

🎄ELF UPDATE: Buddy & Faith Strike Again 😂🎄

Well… it’s official.
The Bailey Center elves have zero supervision and it shows.

Faith was found this morning kicked back, sipping hot cocoa like she’s on Christmas vacation,
while Buddy… bless him… somehow ended up hanging from the Christmas decorations right in front of our donor wall.

(If you listen closely, you can still hear him yelling,
“THANK YOU DONORS!!” …before nearly losing his little elf voice.)

These two might be chaos wrapped in felt,
but Buddy’s right — without our incredible donors, we wouldn’t be able to support ALL the families across Southside Virginia the way we do. ❤️

Ohhhh it’s officially Elf Season, y’all… and The Bailey Center just got a double dose of Christmas chaos. 🎄✨

🎉 Meet our elves: Buddy & Faith!
Yes, you read that right — we now have two tiny supervisors running around the Center… because apparently one wasn’t enough. 😅

Buddy is all energy and zero chill. Faith is sweet, sparkling, and just mischievous enough to keep us on our toes. Together? They’re the holiday dream team we never asked for… but absolutely adore.

And here’s the fun part:
👉 You NEVER know what they’ll be doing
👉 You NEVER know where they might show up
👉 And honestly… we’re not even sure they know what they’re doing.

Yesterday, our LINCS students got the very first challenge of the season:
🎯 Find Buddy & Faith somewhere in the Center!
Let’s just say there was laughing, searching, racing, and found Buddy was buried in the “I Choose to Include” beanies — probably trying to decide which one made his ears look bigger — and Faith was over there posing with our Bailey Center cups like she was filming a holiday commercial.

These two will be popping up around the Center — and maybe even around town 👀 — spreading cheer, silliness, and a little bit of Christmas magic everywhere they go.

So buckle up, Bailey Center family…
The holidays have officially begun, and with Buddy & Faith on the loose, anything can happen! 🎅🏼🧝🏼‍♀️✨
