Radiation oncology and infusion at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital will open at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

VCU Health is fully operational Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, with the exception of the following:

• VCU Health physician offices will open at 12 p.m.
• Radiation oncology and infusion at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital will open at 10 a.m.
• VCU Health Rehabilitation Services in the Richmond area will open at 12 p.m.

VCU Health will contact patients directly if their appointment is impacted.

The health and safety of our patients and team members are our top priority. Please use caution and allow for extra time if you need to travel.

The holidays are officially here at VCU Health CMH! On Monday, our Auxiliary held their annual Tree of Love lighting ceremony, marking the start of the festive season. Local students and dedicated CMH employees sang carols, filling the air with holiday cheer. 🎄

“I noticed numbness in my face and weakness in my right arm as I was pulling into the office parking lot,” said the 37-year-old crisis nurse supervisor. “I thought, ‘There’s no way I’m having a stroke at my age,’ but something in me knew to get help.”

At VCU Health Behavioral Health Services, we offer confidential care right here in the community. Jennifer Smith, PMHNP is board-certified with seven years experience in psychiatric nursing and provides compassionate, patient-centered care. She treats patients ages 10 and up for a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and attachment disorders. 📢 📢 VCU Health CMH will be hosting a Rural Trauma Development Course on December 9, from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Education rooms 1113 and 1114 in the C.A.R.E. Building. This course is open to CMH staff and any area EMS providers. Breakfast and lunch will be provided along with all course materials. Registration is open through December 4.
