My time with the Venerable Monks Walk for Peace
❤️☮️👣
First was a call from the coordinator for the Walk for Peace about using the studio for a rest stop, my heart!! (Had to keep secret)
What an honor🙏🏽 unfortunately, the studio space is too small to house everyone. Still such an honor to be considered ❤️. I had no idea, what was to come next.
A second call from Casey Tanner to help with food at their stop in Alberta, Va. So humbled to provide my homemade vegan chili for dinner and the Love Café Overnight Oats for breakfast for the care team, as the Monks only eat lunch🥘🍵🍽
As the food service was completed, myself and a friend, fellow yogi, and RN/massage therapist Kathleen Clay asked the care team if they need anything else from us?
We need massage therapists, we have no one to offer foot baths, foot massages, full body massages for the Monks! Kathleen a 35+ year vet of MT and a retired RN was ready to help, I offered Assisted Stretch Therapy and Foot Massage👣
What an experience to stay on for the next 5 days!!! It felt like a dream, yoga and service go hand in hand...this was the service of a lifetime. 🙏🏽🧘🏽♀️
A special thank you to Allison Mercurio, Sheldon L Barr, and VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital for their support of The Walk for Peace, you went above and beyond to donate your time, medical supplies, and expertise ✨️
🌸✌🏽👣To be in the presence of these peaceful servant-hearted teachers was a very humbling experience, to be a tiny part helping their bodies complete such an important mission is something that will be within my heart forever ♥️
Meeting the most amazing humans that work tirelessly to ensure this missions success is inspiring.
The mission??? Peace, not religion, not politics...PEACE☮️
✨️I will be sharing my experiences with the Monks and their messages in every yoga class I teach, this is my action to continue their mission.
☮️Today is going to be my peaceful day.
May you be well, may you be happy, may you be peaceful ❤️👣☮️✌🏽
