Last night reminded us how fragile and unpredictable life can be, and in the midst of it all, the strength and courage of the South Houston Police Department did not go unnoticed.

To each officer who responded, who stood in the face of uncertainty, and who carried the weight of protecting others—you have our deepest respect and gratitude. The things you witness and endure are not easy, yet you will continue to show up with bravery, compassion, and a commitment to our community.

In moments like these, we are reminded that behind every badge is a human being—someone who sacrifices time, peace, and sometimes even safety for the sake of others. Please know that your efforts matter, your presence brings comfort, and your service does not go unappreciated.
