I know many people today struggle with gut health due to what’s in our food. I have had a long journey of figuring out my own gut health. I was diagnosed with IBS last year and was put on pills. They helped for about a month or so, then everything went back to how it was before. Being put on a pill isn’t the fix long term. That’s a quick fix. Long term gut health comes from how we take care of our body and what we put into it. 💪🏽

MAINTENANCE ✨

The most amazing place to be when counting macros in my opinion. Not too much food like a bulk, and not too little like a cut. My specific maintenance calories just recently were 2,000. I felt AMAZING eating this much! I weighed in every week and maintained my muscle/weight perfectly for about 3 months.

The more you track macros, the higher your maintenance calories will be as your metabolism adjusts. Finished maintenance dec 2022 and now I’m onto bulking for 6 weeks 💪🏽 LET’S DO THIS.

I think we all have suffered from gym anxiety before. The gym can be a really scary and intimidating place. Here are some tips to help manage your gym anxiety and turn it into a place you love!

1. Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Go with a friend!! This will help hold you accountable! Friends are also way fun to workout with + they can push you to be better!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Go in with a PLAN. If there’s an exercise/machine you are unsure about, look it up on YouTube. Make sure you have your workout structured before entering the gym.

4. Play music!! This helps a ton. Put in headphones to block out all the other noise and enjoy listening to some good music.

5. Remember your WHY! Why are you at the gym? What are you going to accomplish by going to the gym consistently?

I have been researching how to get the best sleep like a hawk lately. I have realized just how IMPORTANT sleep is. I have always struggled with good sleep. It used to take me at least an hour to fall asleep, I would wake up 3-4 times in the night, and woke up never feeling well rested. I’ve started implementing these habits and have seen SO much improvement its amazing. Got myself some blue light glasses from amazon and I love them!! Try it out! ❤️‍🔥

STRONGER EVERYDAY is the goal.

Having muscle is beautiful, don’t be afraid of it. Don’t be afraid of “looking big” or “bulky”. I was afraid of this before I started lifting. I realize the definition and strength building muscle gives me and I LOVE it. I feel healthier than ever.

Let’s talk body confidence today. This may be a sensitive subject for most. I have struggled with this, as I’m sure we all do. A few things that have helped me become more confident daily:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Affirmations. Repeat self love affirmations to yourself everyday.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stop looking at your body in the mirror. You don’t need to sit there and criticize every part of yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stop weighing yourself everyday. Switch to once a week at most.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have a negative thought, automatically say 3 positive thoughts out loud to yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tell loved ones your struggles and your thoughts. They can always uplift you and help you feel confident.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
