We had the privilege to learn about black bears from the "Bear Man" himself, resident Dr. Jordan Pederson! A naturalist with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, he spent many years studying black bears and their habitat, lifestyle, adaptations, and behavior in the Hobble Creek-Diamond Fork region of Utah. Dr. Pederson brought a few skulls and paw print molds as well, to help us better understand the subject. Jordan is just one of our many residents who provide a wealth of experience and information we can all appreciate and learn from.
