Many of you already know us – our entire staff is active in the local community and we have been providing hands-on physical therapy for the members in the City of South Lyon and surrounding area for several years. Maintaining community character and prosperity is very important to us here at Brostrom Physical Therapy. Besides our outstanding Physical Therapist team and the exceptional staff that greets you when walking through our doors and patiently works with you on insurance matters, there are three major differences between our clinic and those in the area:
*We are privately/locally owned and operated. We take care of everything here.
*All therapy is performed by a licensed Therapist.
*Our treatment rooms are private. At Brostrom Physical Therapy, we strive to provide an exceptional therapy experience in a personal setting and specialize in treating a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries, including the use of the world-renowned McKenzie Method. You can expect a commitment to your physical rehabilitation needs, all by local staff and local owners. We will help you with every step of your therapy needs, from assisting with insurance benefits to developing a personalized plan of care and treatment goals. If therapy is required for neurological disorders all the way down to the toes, we’d love to treat you!

🌟 March's Staff Spotlight: Sierra Starr 🌟

Meet Sierra, one of our outstanding Physical Therapists! She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2024, where she also served as Class Vice President and coached the Pompon Team.

Sierra treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and takes a patient‑centered, movement‑focused approach - mixing in manual therapy as needed and prioritizing education so patients understand the “why” behind their care. She’s passionate about helping people reach their full functional potential through personalized, evidence‑based treatment.

When she’s not in the clinic, Sierra loves fitness, the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.

Fun facts about Sierra:
✨She grew up with a pet peacock.
✨Active in Pompon from middle school through college + coached the GVSU Pompon team.
✨In her free time, you'll find her reading and working out.
✨She loves to travel.

🌟 February's (second) Staff Spotlight: Deborah Morrow 🌟

This week, we’re excited to shine a light on one of the brightest parts of our team - our upbeat and friendly Patient Administrator, Deborah!

From the moment patients walk through our doors, she sets the tone with her warm smile, positive energy, and genuine care for everyone she meets. Whether she’s helping someone schedule an appointment, answering questions with patience and clarity, or going the extra mile to make a tough day a little easier, she does it all with kindness and enthusiasm.

Her ability to make each patient feel welcome and supported is a big part of what makes our office feel like family. 💛

Fun facts about Deborah:
✨She's celebrating her 5️⃣ year anniversary with Brostrom PT this month!
✨At age 13, she won a dance contest in Crossville, IL.
✨Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, checking out waterfalls, photography, glamping all over Michigan, and riding bike trails with her family.
✨Winner of our 2024 March Madness Bracket Challenge (with credit to her husband's basketball knowledge).

🌟 February's Staff Spotlight: Renée Pawloski 🌟

Renée has been part of the Brostrom PT team since 2020! She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University and brings a wide range of outpatient experience, including orthopedic, post‑surgical, athletic, and geriatric care.

She’s LSVT BIG certified for treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease and also trained in dry needling. Renée loves helping patients feel confident and independent by focusing on education and clear communication throughout their care.

Fun facts about Renée:
✨The entire BPT team has watched her perform on stage twice.
✨She's played in two bowl games, a final four, and frozen four (playing the trumpet counts, right?).
✨She's played the piano for over 30 years.
✨Don't challenge her to a Rubik's cube dual - she'll definitely win.

🌟 January's Staff Spotlight: Danielle Stamm! 🌟

You may recognize Danielle as one of our Patient Admin Assistants, but she’s also a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) here at Brostrom Physical Therapy! Danielle graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 2008 and specializes in medical massage, helping treat diagnosed conditions, improve function, and support healing.

With experience in physical therapy, massage therapy, and assisted living care, Danielle brings a thoughtful, customized approach to every client. Outside the clinic, she enjoys horseback riding, mountain biking, bowling, and all things water‑related. We love her upbeat energy and the care she brings to our patients!

Fun facts about Danielle:
✨Momma-to-be in June 2026.
✨Winner of our Midas Touch Award, because every person she touches turns to gold!
✨Adopted at 7 years old.
