Once a year. One picture. One tradition. 📸
After the ABSITE exams, this moment happens — the only day of the entire year when every single general surgery resident, our Program Director, Dr. Mohammad Masri, and our Program Coordinator, George A. Michel, are all together in one place. Busy schedules, call nights, rotations, and emergencies pause just long enough for this photo… and it has become our favorite moment of the day.
This picture represents so much more than a group of residents. It means teamwork under pressure, long nights that turn into mornings, lessons learned in the OR, growth through challenges, and support when the days are tough. Residency is demanding, but it’s moments like this that remind us why we chose this path — and who we chose to walk it with.
This is not just a residency program.
This is our team, our family, and a group of people who push each other to be better surgeons and better humans every single day.
We are proud to keep this tradition alive year after year, and we’re already looking forward to the new faces who will join us next year and become part of this story.
Grateful for where we are, excited for what’s ahead, and proud of the people standing next to us.
The journey continues. 💪🔥
