At Miami Vascular Surgery, our mission is to raise awareness about Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) — a condition that affects millions but often goes undiagnosed.
🚨 This September, during PAD Awareness Month, we remind our community that:
• PAD happens when arteries in the legs narrow due to plaque buildup.
• It can cause leg pain when walking, slow-healing wounds, or coldness in the feet.
• Early detection through a simple vascular exam can save lives and limbs.
🩺 Our team of specialists is here to provide advanced diagnosis and personalized treatment for PAD.

This patient underwent a stab phlebectomy✨, a procedure designed to remove superficial varicose veins. It is performed under local anesthesia in the office, allowing for precise vein removal with minimal discomfort and without the need for large surgical cuts.
Stab phlebectomy is often chosen for patients who suffer from visible, symptomatic varicose veins, as it not only improves cosmetic appearance but also helps relieve associated symptoms such as leg heaviness, swelling, or discomfort.
What you see here is the immediate result right after procedure. In just two weeks, we will share the follow-up outcome to demonstrate the final healing and cosmetic improvement. 👨🏻⚕️🩺✨

✨ Before & After – Sclerotherapy ✨
Sclerotherapy is a safe, minimally invasive treatment used to eliminate spider veins and small varicose veins. By injecting a special solution directly into the vein, it causes the vein to collapse and fade over time.
At Miami Vascular Surgery, these are our real patient results. We’re proud to help our patients achieve healthier, smoother-looking legs with expert care and precision.

🦵💥 President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency — a condition that affects millions of people worldwide.
Dr. Edgar Galinanes, vascular surgery specialist, explains what this condition is: it occurs when the veins in the legs can’t return blood efficiently back to the heart, leading to symptoms like pain, heaviness, swelling, and even skin changes.
Although it may seem minor at first, chronic venous insufficiency can progressively worsen if left untreated, significantly impacting quality of life. Dr. Galinanes also shares key recommendations to help prevent it from getting worse: stay active, avoid standing or sitting for long periods, elevate your legs, and wear compression stockings when needed.
Taking care of your legs means taking care of your health! 💙
