🍤Creamy Spaghetti squash shrimp alfredo😍🧀😋🍤⠀⁠

This was so good and easy to make.⠀⁠⠀⁠⠀⁠
Cut squash in half, remove seeds, lightly salt and drizzle with oil. Roast it on a sheet pan, cut side down-400 degrees for 45 minutes. Shred with a fork, leaving in skin. . ⠀⁠
Cook 12 ounces of raw shrimp and 2 cloves of garlic in butter on medium heat for 4-5 minutes, until the shrimp is pink. Turn heat down to low and stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Stir for about 5 minutes then pour over top of spaghetti squash. Top with more Parmesan and crushed red pepper. Broil in the oven for 2-4 minutes. *I didn't want a lot of cheese sauce but you can easily double it if you want more.⠀⁠⁠⁠

"I am a strict vegetarian, and had always thought that I would find it difficult to get enough protein. But now I know that it isn't as hard as it seemed," shares Kavya Arni

"I started discovering new & healthier ways to include protein into my diet. With the help of my Coach, I also gave up my misconceptions about certain foods & exercises. Today, I am able to truly understand and appreciate nutrition & weight training. My journey was mostly about discipline & mindful eating, and of realising their importance.

My advice to people: measure food & be conscious of what you put into your body. Make sure that you supply your body with carbs, fats, proteins and fats in a proportion that's suitable for your body type. Learn to listen to your body. Hoisin Mushroom Gua Baos by 🍄 have you ever tried gua baos? These are homemade fluffy steamed buns filled with mushrooms cooked in hoisin sauce enjoyed with some pickled carrots and cucumber, plus some kimchi! The mushrooms were really well complemented by the acidity of the pickled carrots and cucumber while the kimchi adds that nice tango ness, crunch, and spice too.

I grew up eating gua baos that were usually filled with braised pork belly and pickled mustard greens with some peanuts and sugar. I also love a gua bao I get from a local vegetarian restaurant that makes it with crispy tofu skin with pickled mustard greens, chili, and some sugary chopped peanuts.

These were so fun to put together, and also kind of reminded me of tacos when I ate them. 😂hope you enjoy these!

-Alright, this post is completely dedicated to all the people out there who are looking to get that toned look. But first, let’s establish what toned really means. “Toned” is a term that people use to describe a look that means, more muscle, less fat, look, am I right?
-
🤔But how do we achieve that look that most people are so desperately chasing? Let’s first talk about what ABSOLUTELY NOT TO DO.
-
You see, most people think just pouring on the cardio will do the trick. This is the worst advice you could ever give somebody that’s trying to get “toned”. I’d actually recommend to do as little cardio as possible because it’s so time consuming and you could use that time making gains in the weight room. No you won’t get bulky. That’s not a thing to do on accident.
-
SOOOO what you should you do? First off, lift weights, 3-4x a week should be good for most people. Oh, and train every body part at least 2-3x a week!
-
Track your nutrition, if you’re tryna lose fat, stay in a moderate deficit and lift weights, that will make you lose fat and build muscle if you’re new to lifting weights.
-
Sleep tight! You recover when you’re sleeping so please, make sure to dial in your sleep!! 7-9 hours a night and optimize sleep quality!

Lastly, like I said, embrace the process! This stuff takes time!!!!!!

⁉️ In the dieting world a restrict Monday-Friday and blow out Saturday-Sunday cycle is a common vicious cycle 🔄 with ALCOHOL 🍷 🍺 being the crux of the issue. For the ladies 👩🏼👩🏻 calories are usually clocked by cocktails which can be upwards of 200 calories a serve; while for the gents 👨🏻👨🏼 it’s usually through numerous beers! Your body recognises your intake on a periodic basis which is why no matter whether or not it’s the weekend or how ‘clean’ you ate during the week - it still counts.

💡 Your alcohol fueled weekends or binges can counteract your weeks worth of hard work so and could be the reason you are maintaining/not losing weight. 🔑 With alcohol, just like your favourite dine out meal, chocolate, ice cream etc the key is to maintain a more balanced approach and incorporate these as part of a balanced diet as opposed to a complete blow out.
✅ If you are drinking one night
⬆️ increase your protein during the day to meet your minimum requirement
⬇️ decrease your fats and carbs & leave enough calories for your alcoholic beverages. Vodka/diet sodas will be the lowest at 60-70 calories per tumbler or a glass of wine/some low carb beers at about 125 calories per standard serve.

One pan pasta with as little effort as humanly possible 😬🍝 - that’s the kind of weeknight dinner that makes me feel good!...By

📝 INGREDIENTS
* 8 ounces linguine
* 1 pint cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
* 2 ounces baby spinach leaves
* 1 small onion, finely sliced
* 3 cloves garlic, finely sliced
* A small handful of basil leaves, roughly chopped
* 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
* 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 2 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

👩‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large deep pan, place the spaghetti in addition to the cherry tomatoes, spinach, sliced onions, garlic and basil. Drizzle the olive on top and season with crushed red pepper and salt.

2. Pour 4 cup of boiling water (or vegetable/chicken stock) into the pan and bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for 8-10 minutes on medium heat stirring occasionally with tongs, until the liquid in nearly evaporated, creating a sauce.

3. Remove the pan from heat and stir in parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.

Transformation Tuesday, and your girl has transformed more than a couple of times. Picture on the left was from our family trip to Universal Studios two years ago where I didn’t fit on rides and needed assistance to get secured on the few I was able to ride. I was a 3x shirt and a 24 pant size. I remember buying those shorts and being so embarrassed to wear them, but I knew I would die in the June heat without them. The right is from our trip to Six Flags this weekend where I rode all the rides and wore a 10 pant size and a medium shirt. I had started to feel like I wasn’t capable of transforming again. I believed that lie. It just felt too hard at moments, but y’all I am getting there, and I am so grateful I am getting to experience life again instead of feeling like it is passing me by. Here is to all the butterflies. 🦋❤️🙌🏻
