One of our families brought in homemade jam the other day 🫙🤍

It’s moments like these that remind us how meaningful the relationships are that grow through pediatric care. We’re so grateful for the kindness, trust, and sense of community our families share with us every day.

Falls from beds and couches are one of the most common calls pediatricians get — and they’re understandably scary for parents.

Most short falls result in minor bumps, especially when a child cries right away and returns to their usual behavior. What matters most isn’t the fall itself, but how your child acts afterward.

Watch closely for concerning symptoms like repeated vomiting, unusual sleepiness, seizures, or difficulty waking. If you notice any of these — or if your gut says something isn’t right — reach out to your pediatrician or seek care.

You didn’t fail. This happens. And when parents have clear guidance, they can respond calmly and confidently 🤍

Last week on Run Mom Run, we sat down with Professor Harry Redinger—master practitioner, author, and teacher—for a powerful conversation on emotional intelligence, personality types, and how early life experiences shape who we become as adults.

This episode invites parents to reflect, understand themselves more deeply, and consider how awareness and intention can influence both personal growth and the way we raise our children.

January doesn’t need a full reset — especially for families. Instead of trying to fix everything at once, focus on small, realistic steps that support your child’s nervous system and your own.

Start by choosing one routine to reset, often sleep. A consistent bedtime — even if it’s not perfect — helps kids regulate faster than strict rules. Anchor the day with one predictable meal, and build in brief outdoor time whenever possible. These small signals tell a child’s body, “We’re safe. We’re steady.”

Lower expectations for yourself this month. Wellness is built through repetition, not pressure. Gentle resets create lasting routines — and calmer households.

Today’s unexpected moment at the front desk 😂
One of our patients spotted Maria’s .usa on her computer and was very shocked… and very excited. Like, stopped-everything-to-tell-mom excited 😅 🤭

The tiny detail that caught everyone’s attention? Their little backsides were showing 🙈
So naturally, we improvised — sticky notes to the rescue. Problem solved. Curiosity contained. Front desk operations resumed 📝🪽

At Yuli MD, moments like these remind us why we’re so patient- and family-focused. We love creating a space where kids feel comfortable, curious, and happy to be here 🤍
Now we’re curious…

👉 Would your kid notice this? Or would you? 😂

Returning to “normal” after the holidays isn’t always easy. Routines may feel off, energy can be low, and emotions often run high for everyone in the household. That doesn’t mean anything is wrong. It means you’re human, and you’re adjusting.

This season of transition deserves softness, not pressure. Grace matters more than perfection right now. Small steps still count — whether that’s easing back into routines, choosing connection over productivity, or simply showing up when it feels hard.

You don’t have to reset everything at once. Progress doesn’t need to be loud or fast to be meaningful. Reset gently. Breathe. You’re allowed to ease back in 🤍

Running into the new year with gratitude, culture, and community 🏃‍♀️✨

As we step into 2026, we are filled with gratitude 🤍 for the families and patients who trust us with their care and allow us to be part of their lives in such meaningful ways. Watching this pediatric community grow—rooted in connection, trust, and family-centered care—has been the greatest gift.

This past year also brought powerful conversations that reflect the families we serve. Sitting down with Maritzabeth to talk about culture, motherhood, and her family’s mariachi roots was a beautiful reminder of how honoring heritage and lived experiences strengthens healthcare 🎺🌿

At Yuli MD Pediatrics, we are committed to creating a space where families feel seen, supported, and cared for—beyond appointments and beyond the exam room. As we run into the new year, we look forward to continuing to grow alongside our community with intention, warmth, and heart 💛

Here’s to a year of healthy families, deeper connection, and continued growth. Happy New Year ✨
