Mammogram is the key to early detection. I never doubt how small and early cancer can be found on mammogram before it can be felt or seen on ultrasound. Get your mammogram every year if you are over the age of 40 and don't have other risk factors.

You might think I'm weird or crazy to still wear 2 masks and a face shield while seeing patients. This is to protect you, me and my family. I don't know your history and you don't know mine. I respect CDC guidelines but that does not include healthcare settings. Please continue to wear your masks when seeing a doctor.

I'm a proud DO (doctor of osteopathy) and a board certified general surgeon. Furthermore I'm fellowship trained in breast surgical oncology. DOs are trained equally as our MD counterparts. Not only that we learned how to treat patients as a whole person. Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding being a DO and educate your friends and family if you love your DOs.
