Tuesday Tip with Janet Steady, RDN
Feed Your Lizard Brain

When you go too long without eating, your blood sugar drops — and your lizard brain (the ancient part of your nervous system) starts to panic, signaling danger!

Stay calm and capable by eating something balanced every 3–4 hours — a mix of foods you enjoy or have on hand, like:
🍎 Apple + nut butter
🥕 Hummus + crackers
🍓 Yogurt + fruit
🍞 Toast with turkey or cheese

Your body and brain will thank you — steady blood sugar means a steadier you.

🌿 Tuesday Tips 🌿

Today’s focus: Safety.

Take a moment to identify the people and places in your life that help you feel safe.

Not sure what that means? Start with curiosity —
What happens in your body and mind when you are safe?
What happens when you’re not?

Safety isn’t just comfort — it’s the birthplace of authenticity, creativity, and connection. When we nurture safety, we make room for more of what makes life meaningful.

💭 Who or what helps you feel safe today?

✨ Tuesday Tips! ✨

Every Tuesday, we will share something small but mighty to help boost your sense of well-being.

This week’s practice: Pause for sensory connection.
Take a moment to ask yourself —
What do I hear?
What do I see?
What aroma do I smell?
What am I touching?
What do I taste?

These simple questions can gently pull you back into the present and help you ride out moments of discomfort with more ease.

Here’s to savoring the little moments today — one sense at a time. 🌿
