Exciting news out of Carlsbad! Yesterday, Novartis celebrated the opening of their new Radioligand Therapy (RLT) manufacturing facility. 🌟

Our California Life Sciences (CLS) team was proud to join Novartis leadership including CEO Vas Narasimhan, President of Operations Steffen Lang, and site head Dominic Ramirez-Lopez, Swiss Consul General Jonas Brunschwig, and Assemblymembers Laurie Davies, Darshana Patel, Ph.D., and Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins in commemoration of this milestone.

Totaling 10,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art RLT manufacturing facility represents an investment of over $200 million in California’s life sciences infrastructure and bolsters Novartis’s commitment to advancing innovative cancer treatments. RLT combines a tumor-targeting molecule with a therapeutic radio isotope to deliver precise radiation directly to cancer cells.

💡 This investment in RLT therapy will allow California meet the rising demand for innovative care, improve access to advanced cutting-edge science, and reinforce the state’s position as the global leader in life sciences.

What an incredible day in Oxnard!

Last week, California Life Sciences partnered with Reiter Affiliated Companies, Genentech, Amgen, the Port of Hueneme, and Ventura County to bring essential health services directly to 600+ farmworkers and their families. 🧑‍🌾❤️‍🩹

From bilingual medical screenings and mental health support to legal services and children's activities, this event was about meeting our farmworker community where they are — with the resources, respect, and care they deserve.

🩵 Thank you to Representative Julia Brownley, Representative Salud Carbajal, CA Senator Monique Limón, Assemblymember Steve Bennett, Supervisor Vianey Lopez, and Councilmember Dr. Martita Martinez-Bravo for joining us!
