Over the years, a lot of people have asked me how I came up with the name Knotted Tree š³
So hereās the story behind it.
The āTreeā in my logo is inspired by the Tree of Life ā a symbol of strength, growth, and interconnectedness. But thereās intention in the design.
If you look closely, the branches form the shape of lungs.
Breathing is foundational to how I work. Proper breathing patterns influence posture, muscle tension, nervous system regulation, and recovery. When we improve how you breathe, we improve how you move.
Just like a treeās roots, trunk, and branches are all connectedā¦
Your muscles, joints, fascia, and breath are connected too.
The āKnotā
When people say they have āknotsā in their shoulders, neck, or back ā thatās not just a figure of speech. Muscle tension and restriction are real, and they affect how you move, breathe, and feel day to day.
The āKnottedā part of the name represents the hands-on therapeutic work I do ā finding those tight, restricted areas and helping the body return to balance.
Why it all fits together
āKnotted Tree Massage Therapyā has a rhythm to it ā it rolls off the tongue. But more importantly, it represents a philosophy:
You canāt truly address pain by only chasing symptoms. You have to look at the whole system.
Thatās what Knotted Tree is about ā untangling the knots and restoring strength and balance from the ground up.
If youāve ever wondered about the name, now you know š
And if youāre dealing with tension that just wonāt go away ā maybe itās time to start untangling it.
