Last week, our Harrington Hospital - Southbridge Campus experienced a profoundly moving moment. After the heartbreaking loss of a patient, the family chose to honor their legacy through the gift of organ donation, bringing hope and healing to others.

Our nursing leadership team quickly organized a hero walk, and caregivers lined the hallways in a powerful show of respect, compassion, and gratitude for this extraordinary act of generosity.

When Gary Woodland won the Houston Open shortly after sharing his PTSD diagnosis, it resonated with many, including Dr. Richard Listerud, Chief of Psychiatry at Harrington Hospital. PTSD can bring back trauma through nightmares, flashbacks or persistent thoughts, even years later. Woodland’s resilience is a powerful reminder that recovery takes strength, support and compassion.
