The Body's Wisdom was established in 2003 by Tamara (Tammy) Kichar-Barry, OTR/L, a licensed occupational therapist, with over 25 years of experience, treating adults and children with a variety of therapy needs. Tamara is most well known for her CranioSacral therapy skills is trained in CranioSacral Therapy through Upledger Institute. Tammy has experience with treating infants through adults. Tammy specialties include treating conditions such as concussions, central nervous system disorders, chronic neck and back pain, migraines and headaches, orthopedic problems, spinal injuries, TMJ syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, torticollis, plagiocephaly, pregnancy and lip and tongue tie. Tammy is fully dedicated to improving the well-being of all individuals in both mind and body. Elizabeth "Betsy" Daniels, COTA/L is a licensed occupational therapy practitioner as well as a certified companion animal assisted facilitator. Betsy has over 20+ years of experience providing pediatric occupational therapy in various settings. Betsy is trained in CranioSacral Therapy through Upledger Institute. Her CranioSacral therapy skills specialize in gut health, cancer treatment, concussions, TMJ syndrome, Infant and childhood disorders, such as lip and tongue tie, torticollis, plagiocephaly, sensory integration, ADHD/ADD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is also certified in Handwriting Without Tears. Betsy is trained How Does Your Engine Run? as well as various visual and feeding modalities. Betsy is passionate about making a difference in individuals, children and their families lives by working with them to reach their health goals and functional potential. The Body's Wisdom offers CranioSacral Therapy, Pediatric Occupational Therapy supported by Certified Animal Assisted Therapy as appropriate and Handwriting Programs.

Our Story

The Body's Wisdom was established in 2003 by Tamara Kichar-Barry, OTR/L, a licensed occupational therapist, with over 20 years of experience, treating adults and children with a variety of therapy needs. Tamara is most well known for her CranioSacral therapy skills in treating conditions such as concussions, torticollis, plagiocephaly, sensory integration, attention deficit disorders, and developmental delays. Tamara also lectures and teaches on early intervention topics including motor milestone attainment, sensory motor development, oral motor/feeding, and school readiness. Tamara is fully dedicated to improving the well-being of all individuals in both mind and body. Elizabeth "Betsy" Daniels, COTA/L is a licensed occupational therapy practitioner as well as a certified companion animal assistant therapy facilitator and has completed the DJ Pet Assisted Therapy University Certificate Program at the Community College of Rhode Island, which is a 3-course program that included a 100-hour internship with her Standard Poodle, Rupert. Betsy has over 19 years of experience providing pediatric occupational therapy in various settings. Betsy is trained in CranioSacral Therapy through Upledger Institute. She is also certified in Handwriting Without Tears. Betsy is trained How Does Your Engine Run? as well as various visual and feeding modalities. Betsy is available for workshops in the area of pediatric development. Betsy enjoys and is passionate about working with children and their families to make a difference. The Body's Wisdom offers CranioSacral Therapy, Pediatric Occupational Therapy supported by Certified Animal Assisted Therapy as appropriate, Handwriting Programs and Massage Therapy.
