This week in FLight Club, we’re focusing on •ENTRIES• —because getting into a handstand or arm balance is just as important as holding it.

There is no one “right” way to enter a handstand. Different bodies, different proportions, different nervous systems = different pathways upside down.

In Week Three, we explore:
• Multiple handstand entry options (kick-ups, float-ups, press patterns, step-ins, and supported entries)
• The difference between arm balances and handstands—what they are, how they function, and what each asks of your body
• How momentum, strength, timing, and control all play a role in finding lift
• Choosing entries that support efficiency, safety, and sustainability in your practice

This week is about awareness over aesthetics—learning how your body organizes itself in space and discovering the entry that actually works for you.

Upside down isn’t one-size-fits-all.
We’re here to help you find your way in. Join us on Mondays at 5:45pm w/ .c

What do you think about a couples only handstand date nite? Would that be fun or no? 🤔

SAMA means balance.
Not perfection — but the steady meeting point between effort and ease, movement and stillness, breath and being.

At SAMA, we believe yoga is not something you do to your body — it’s a relationship you build with it.

Our studio is rooted in three guiding pillars:
Movement. Mindfulness. Intention.

• Movement to strengthen, open, and explore what’s possible.
• Mindfulness to listen, soften, and come back to yourself.
• Intention to move through life with clarity, purpose, and heart.

SAMA is where practice becomes presence.
Where the mat becomes a mirror.
And where balance is something you feel — not something you chase.💫 #

YTT Weekend 6 | Our trainees dove deep into how to warm up a class properly, learning how to build breath awareness, create safety, and prepare the body for what’s coming next. We explored how intentional warm-ups set the tone for everything that follows.

We also focused heavily on direct cueing — the art of clear, confident communication. Through interactive cueing games and partner work, students practiced giving concise, embodied instructions, learning how to guide movement without over-talking or second-guessing themselves.

And of course, there was lots of practice teaching — short sequences, transitions, and warm-ups taught out loud, in real time, with feedback and support. This is where everything starts to click: anatomy, sequencing, breath, and voice coming together.

Weekend 6 marks a powerful shift — from learning about yoga to learning how to hold space and lead others through it. 🤍

Dear SAMA Community,

As we step into a brand new year, my heart feels incredibly full.

Thank you—for showing up, for trusting us with your practice, for supporting this space, and for being such a meaningful part of the SAMA community. Whether you joined us on the mat once a week or made the studio feel like a second home, your presence truly matters and helps shape the energy of this place.

The turning of the year offers a gentle invitation to pause, reflect, and begin again. As we move into 2026, my hope for you is that you find balance—between effort and ease, movement and rest, doing and simply being. May this year bring you clarity, strength, softness where you need it most, and blessings that feel both grounding and expansive.

We are deeply grateful to walk alongside you into this next chapter. Thank you for your continued support, your commitment to growth, and the care you bring into our shared space.

Wishing you a peaceful, healthy, and beautifully balanced New Year.

With gratitude and love,

Brenn

This January, Aly is heading to Bali to co-facilitate a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. It will be her first time teaching in this role, and she is really excited & humbled to step into the experience of holding space for a group of students. not just guiding the physical practice, but supporting the deeper learning and transformation that naturally happens during a training like this.

She’s especially excited to teach Ayurveda, the science of life and the system of medicine she practices. Ayurveda is yoga’s sister science. She feels passionate that yoga students have at least a foundational understanding of Ayurveda because it helps make the practice more personal, more sustainable, and ultimately more healing.
She’s also looking forward to being immersed in Balinese culture and tradition, and seeing how that environment influences both her teaching and her own learning.

Aly says every time she puts herself back in the student seat, she becomes a better teacher. Yoga is lifelong work- it’s a constant exchange between studying and teaching. Each time she returns to it, she learns something new, something deeper, and usually something about herself. Her hope is to walk away from this experience changed in a meaningful way, and able to serve her students with even more clarity and care.

Wish Aly luck as she heads into this beautiful journey for January! We can’t wait for your return and to hear and experience all that you learned! 💫
