Everyone of you know someone who has Alzheimer’s or Dementia. I recently lost my mother-in-law Bev Moubry to this disease. Her path started in 2017 and rapidly progressed until she was just a shell of herself. My mom, Phillis Thompson started showing signs in 2020 and was formerly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year. Her path is very different and a slower progression but nonetheless hard to manage. Thank goodness they live close by so I can help my Dad. This is my story but you ALL have one. There is so much hope with science and research that we could find a cure or at least some treatment to slow the progression soon. Please join us on Saturday September 13th for a mile walk around Sandhills Community College. Walk starts at 10 AM. If you can’t make it, please consider a small donation to this great cause. Please message me if you would like to join our team on the walk.
