Shout out to Embers BBQ showing up & showing LOVE!
Starting tomorrow, Embers BBQ in Southern Pines will begin offering a FREE meal to those in need. This meal will be a "heat & eat" style meal and will be bagged and given out COLD. It will feature 1 lb of our pulled pork, 1 lb of Mac-N-Cheese, 3/4 lb of Slaw, and 6 oz cup of BBQ sauce.
If you are a family in need or know of a family in need, please forward, share, or tell them about this. THIS IS AT NO COST TO THEM. We care deeply for the community that has supported us for the last 3 1/2 years, and it will be our way to give back at a time when it is needed most.
A few rules (because we need rules!) -
- Come to Embers BBQ at 130 SW Broad St in Southern Pines and ask a staff member for THE COMMUNITY SPECIAL.
- It is NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Please do not be shy or embarrassed. I WANT TO GIVE ALL OF THESE AWAY EVERYDAY!
- Limit of 1 per week (for now)
-We might substitute an item if low
-You can call us at 910-684-0330 to ask if any are available
I am not sure how popular this will be, so I will be starting small. I will be supporting the entire cost up front, so this will be limited to some per day - I am thinking about 10 packages depending on demand per day. I figure I can at least send food to 10 families a day, so that is a big win for everyone involved. I can't afford to do too many, but this is what I can afford right now.
Some people may ask how they can help or support this. Well, I set up a button on my online ordering page - Donation for Community Special. If you buy one, that will support 1 meal that I can give away, so I will be able to increase my reach for the community. Each Community Special purchased will be given to a family in need, AT NO COST to them. All the refrigerated meals will be handed out at our Southern Pines restaurant during normal business hours.

I will end this post by saying thank you to the community who has given me so much over the last 3 1/2 years. It is now my turn to give back.
