Our 2025 Breakfast with the Bishop was the largest one yet. Why? Because we saluted our Veterans, including a special Rosie, on Veterans Day! Special thank you to all the Veterans who attended. Honoring you was the reason for the event. To Bishop Bonnie A. Perry of the Episcopal Diocese for beautiful interviews of special guests, Mary O'Rourke, Pat Hardy, Lisa Rewald, and Ken Kondrat who shared stories of amazing men who served our country. To Sue Nine and John Ferron, for sharing the phenomenal story of decorated WWII Veteran Morton "Mort" Harris, your friend and neighbor. To Alicia Smith for a superb job emceeing the event. To Hester Crawford, you set the standard for strong women everywhere. And to all our sponsors and guests, you helped make this the most special event. It was my pleasure, Peggy.

Thank you, St. James Episcopal Church for all you do!

Frank Witsil's story in the Detroit Free Press really captures the essence of today's Salute to Veterans: Breakfast with the Bishop. Thanks to all our Veterans who keep us free and for all who attended this morning's event. https://www.freep.com/picture-gallery/news/local/michigan/2025/11/11/105-year-old-rosie-honored-during-veterans-day-breakfast/87216320007/

More than recognizing veterans, Tuesday’s tributes showed just how much military experiences shaped generations of Americans.

St. Anne’s Mead is a place everyone calls “home.”

Since 1966, St. Anne’s Mead has provided the highest quality care in Assisted Living and Nursing Care from our one-story home conveniently located within minutes to I-696, Woodward Avenue, Beaumont Royal Oak and St. John Providence Southfield. In 2018, we opened our state-of-the-art memory care home as the perfect complement to our assisted living and nursing care homes. “Welcome Home,” are the first words you read when entering St. Anne’s Mead and it is a credo we live by. Residents, staff, volunteers and visitors all recognize St. Anne’s Mead as a warm, welcoming place. St. Anne’s Mead is a mission-driven, 501(c)3 organization and we appreciate your support so we can continue to provide the highest quality care for generations to come.
