Flu Activity Is High in Oakland County — Protect Yourself & Others

Flu cases are elevated across Oakland County, and we are seeing increased illness in our community. Influenza can lead to serious complications—especially for older adults, young children, pregnant individuals, and those with chronic health conditions.

💉 Getting vaccinated is still one of the best ways to protect yourself and those around you.
Even if you haven’t received your flu shot yet, it’s not too late. Vaccination can reduce the severity of illness, prevent hospitalization, and help slow the spread in our community.

What you can do:

Get your annual flu vaccine
Wash hands frequently
Cover coughs and sneezes
Stay home if you are sick
Seek medical care early if symptoms worsen or if you are high-risk

📍 Flu vaccines are widely available through healthcare providers, pharmacies, and clinics.

Let’s work together to keep our community healthy this flu season.
Protect yourself. Protect others. Get vaccinated.
