🌍✈️ Nexus Leisure Adventure Club Takes on London — Virtually! 🇬🇧

What an incredible time we had on our Virtual Trip to London, England! From the moment we “arrived,” we were immersed in the rich history, culture, and charm of this fascinating city.

We sampled delicious English Cadbury chocolate 🍫, sipped on warm, yummy hot tea ☕, and explored wonderful artifacts from Merry Old England. To make it even more festive, we donned our finest bowler hats and sparkling tiaras — and of course, we looked absolutely smashing! 🎩👑

Our adventure was filled with laughter, learning, and a true taste of British tradition. London may be across the pond, but today it felt right next door.

Oh my… where will Nexus Leisure Adventure Club travel next? 🌎✨ Stay tuned for our next grand adventure!

Our Lakeside Service Club has been hard at work creating beautiful handmade candles for our tour giveaways! 🕯️✨

Our residents truly enjoy being part of this special project, and it shows in every detail. Not only do these candles look beautiful, but they smell absolutely incredible too!

We love sharing a little piece of our community with visitors, and these thoughtful creations are the perfect touch.

A huge thank you to our amazing residents for their creativity, dedication, and hard work. You make Lakeside shine! 💙

This Monday, our Nexus Leisure Adventure took us on a virtual trip to Washington, DC in celebration of Presidents Day! 🇺🇸✨

We had so much fun exploring our nation’s capital and learning about our 1st President, George Washington, and our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln — along with several other leaders who have shaped our country’s history. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, share stories, and reflect on the rich history behind the most powerful position in our nation.

There’s something special about traveling the world — even virtually — and discovering new (and historic!) places with friends.

Join us on a Monday afternoon for our next Virtual Travel Adventure… there’s no telling where we’ll explore next! 🌎✈️

We would like to send a HUGE thank you to Carol’s son, Jeff, all the way from Alaska, for visiting our Lakeside Residents and sharing his incredible musical talents with us! 🎶

What a special treat it was for our neighborhood to enjoy his performance. The residents especially loved when he pulled out the kazoo — it was such a fun and endearing surprise that had everyone smiling! 😊

Jeff, we truly appreciate you taking the time to make your visit so memorable for our community. We hope you’ll come back again soon and play for us!

Our Gardenview Culinary Club was hard at work baking up something extra special this week — delicious cinnamon roll bites!

These little bits of heaven had the entire Gardenview neighborhood smelling absolutely amazing. Warm cinnamon, sweet icing, and fresh-baked goodness filled the air… and of course, they tasted just as incredible as they smelled!

They didn’t last long — our residents made sure of that! We love seeing everyone come together to create sweet treats and even sweeter memories. There’s nothing better than sharing homemade goodness with friends and neighbors.

Way to go, Gardenview bakers! 🍥✨

💕 Nexus Valentine’s Day Celebration 💕

We had such a wonderful time celebrating Valentine’s Day together at Nexus! The room was filled with great music, lots of laughter, and of course plenty of sweet treats. 🧁🎶

A huge thank you to our amazing community partner Diana for the delicious cupcakes — they were a big hit and made the day even sweeter! 💗

It was the perfect opportunity to come together, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate this fun, love-filled holiday. We’re so grateful for our incredible community and the special moments we share.

👽✨ Nexus Leisure Adventure Travel Club Goes to Roswell, New Mexico! ✨👽

This week, we virtually traveled to the mysterious and legendary town of Roswell, New Mexico — and what an adventure it was! 🌵🚀

Our group had an incredible time uncovering the mystique of this small southwestern town, famous for the 1947 “alien encounter.” We dove headfirst into the history, stories, and theories surrounding the Roswell incident — and let’s just say, the conversations were out of this world! 🌌

We even sampled some unique freeze-dried snacks (astronaut style, of course!) and heard fascinating firsthand stories from our residents about their own lifelong curiosity and experiences related to alien life. The excitement and imagination in the room were absolutely contagious!

It left us all wondering…
Is there really life beyond our planet? Beyond our universe? 🤔✨

Who knows?!?!?!?!

One thing’s for sure — our Adventure Travel Club continues to explore, learn, and have a blast together. Where will we travel to next? Stay tuned! 🌎✈️

Our Lakeside Residents Painting Club has been hard at work creating more beautiful masterpieces! 🎨💙

These talented residents truly love bringing their creativity to life, and we absolutely love seeing all of their amazing creations. This time, they explored watercolors — and they did a fantastic job! The colors, the detail, and the joy in the room made it such a special time together.

If you’re interested in owning one of their wonderful works of art, be sure to join us for our Silent Auction this September to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It’s a beautiful way to support a meaningful cause while celebrating the incredible talents of our residents. 💜

Our Nexus residents had a wonderful outing to the Grapevine Antique Mall and Coco’s Tearoom! ☕🍰

We started the afternoon enjoying delicious desserts, tea, coffee, and even a little soda for a sweet treat. Afterward, we strolled through the antique mall, sharing stories, reminiscing about the past, and discovering treasures along the way.

This outing is always a resident favorite, and it’s easy to see why — great treats, meaningful memories, and lots of smiles. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to this amazing store! 💛
